Well done explanation of the belt procedure. All the tools required, add PB blaster and copper anti seize to the list and a small wire brush to clean the threads of rust .
Very good. We have owned 3 240 wagons, 265 wagon, 740 Turbo, and 1 2001 v70 turbo. The worst of the bunch by far was the v70. The others were nice to work on and designed that way. I am more of a take the fan off kind of guy, but next time I will try it your way.
Hey John, I'm with you on the v70 being the worst of the bunch, and in doing these repairs, its whatever works for you, I'm always trying to find a short cut. thanks for taking the time...
Is it just the two bolts for the AC pump? I loosened the tensioner and the lock nut and I can’t get it to budge. I am at a complete loss… I have wiggled it every which way in case it might be seized up but no luck. I got the alternator fine though… weird
@207fishME there's actually three bolts, the two on top are slotted, the 3rd one is the pivot, it may be frozen, try soaking it overnight with some penetrating fluid, its possible someone may have changed it from the original to a regular nut and bolt. good luck with that..
