Nicolas Cage returns as Johnny Blaze in GHOST RIDER™ SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE. Still struggling with his curse as the devil’s bounty hunter, Johnny is hiding out in a remote part of Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect of the church to save a young boy from the devil. Nic Cage, they may drag you through the mud for this, but thank you for being Ghost Rider. The Spirit of Vengeance never would have made it to the big screen if not for you.
Problem is look at Willy's wonderland, Cage is an amazing actor, but they always play him as a goofy character which he is not that good at.
The movie probably would have been made with or without him. If Cage hadn't played him, someone else would have. But I do think he did do really well with the role he was given. I don't think this movie would have been half as entertaining if it were anyone else playing Ghost Rider.

The design for this ghost ride was so epic, too bad the movie wasn't all that great.
indeed, its a more apropriate version aswell, instead of everything shiny and chrome and clean, the charred look of everything related to it makes more sense. the best aspect imo is actually the behavior, a lot more derranged and leaning towards the supernatural and irrational. gives of that uneasy feel

I think the same after looking at the clips of both movies. I can’t remember a lot from both movies, but I think anybody should think that the scenes that Ghost Rider was in in the first movie are very enjoyable and badass.

I think it would have actually been decent if it were rated R. Speaking of that, it was originally going to be really gory and R rated, but then Sony was like "Hell No!!" and forced the movie to be PG-13 because they just want to make money!

This sequence really showcases how much the CGI quality varies in this movie. It’s almost like more recent MCU films where they really do save a lot of the best CG shots for the trailers.
I will continue to miss this ghost rider and hope for another good movie rider one day where they show even more of his true power.

This one was terrible
They didn't get anywhere near riders actual power, and besides the first movie was better and they put a whole lot more effort into it, but if they put his full power into a movie there would be no movie cuz he would have defeated the big bad in the first few minutes, he is quite possibly the most overpowered character in the marvel universe, and he never loses. Not like every other hero who has a loss and then comes back and wins, and in this scene if it were rider at full power blackout would never have stood a chance, it wouldn't have been a fight

And this also isn't johnny in control its zarathos as you can tell by the confused mannerisms and when he looks up to the sky and does the thing I think that's zarathos purifying himself from demonic back into something angelic and giving Johnny back the reigns.

I prefer the bike's design from the 1st movie, but the Ghostrider's black skull in this movie is also pretty metal. I also prefer the way they shot this movie the way they did, seems like a very comicbook style, as though you can take a frame out from anyway in the movie and it'll always look like it came from a panel of the comic
Well to be fair the first ones bike was designed by Orange County Choppers. The Tuttles are renowned for their custom bikes.
Just wished they hadn't done all those dramatic "dun-naaa" close ups like they did.
Overall the second movie's design is pretty good, but not a fan of the black skull.

I love the fist fight between GR and Blackout. No special training, no skills, just 2 super powered guys exchanging punches and kicks.
My theory on why ghost rider looked and acted different is because Johnny kept him in a cage down deep for so long. Like keeping a wild animal in a cage it gets hostile,agitated, and volatile. That's why he looked more ragged and unhinged.
They just made him more lore accurate he was turned into a demon prince of vengeance when he was a angel of Justice he was driven to madness that’s why this is the only time he acts normal in the movie he was free from his madness

@@JJMomoida I’m fine with Nicolas Cage. Despite his tendencies to overact, I’ve grown up with seeing him as Johnny Blaze and I’ve grown to like his performance despite some of its quirks-which can be fixed by proper facilitation by the director. I do however think that the casting for other people may require some work or again have their acting be facilitated well by the director. I could be wrong, maybe it’s just the script after all but I think they can do more, or a better result could be yielded with what they have (except the script, that thing needs to be reworked defo)

@@JJMomoida Because, I gotta add, I admire Cage’s acting during Ghost Rider mode, his erratic and strange movement is well done-his movement is inhuman by nature, giving off an uncanny valley of body movement which is a nice touch to the otherworldly element of the Ghost Rider. There were some gestures he did in the movie which were just plain weird, and some directed actions that were off in a bad way (like when he was swirling around when he was hit with a flashbang in the quarry scene; that action didn’t make sense.)
This character is crying out for a truly A1 adaptation! I do love the Nic Cage versions but think now is the time to really do him justice. Such a brilliant anti hero!
