A couple month's ago I had never even touched this game. Now I feel like I know more about it than I do most games I've been playing for years.
so what's the RPG you're planning to do next? something simple, or a more complicated rpg like this
I mean it's tough to find something more complicated than this lol. I'm not sure yet, but probably something I could summarize in 1 or 2 videos.
@@firescale2091 Obviously go with what you'd want to do over a suggestion, but I think the Trails/Kiseki games were made for this type of content and after finding your Xenogears videos I sort of want to start writing a script to record.
That said, you explained this game to myself, a relative newcomer to Xenogears, absolutely brilliantly. It's actually criminal that your series isn't popular, it's so well-written. I love it, absolutely going back to watch the others you've made.

42:02 I think there are a few mistakes here. Though Abel was on the Eldridge and was the only one to survive the crash, he did not make contact with the Wave Existence on the ship. He happened to be near the Zohar "by chance" during the experiments, which were taking place on Miktam. The experiments went out of control, killing a whole lot of people and rendering the planet inhabitable, so Yabeh, the interplanetary invasion system (which Deus, the Zohar with Kadamony and so on is part of) was dismantled and put on the Eldridge to be transported elsewhere. The survivors, including Abel, were also put on the Eldridge, because that's what the ship was actually meant to do: transport a huge mass of people. At that point, Abel didn't have a mother anymore. And because we see the Wave Existence creating a mother for Abel through Kadamony during the experiments on Miktam already, I would guess that at that point, his mother was already dead. Probably killed when Deus went out of control, but that is only my own assumption.
I find it funny how the game gives us so many different explanations or methods for immortal characters:
- Cain, who is constructed with superior DNA which never ages
- The Gizel Ministry, who transferred their minds into a machine after losing their bodies
- Krelian with Nanomachines constantly healing his cells
- Grahf/Lacan who developed a method to transfer his will into other host bodies
- Miang who isn't a person to begin with, but instead a system that is pre-installed into the DNA of every female human on the planet
- Elly whose memories are stored in the introns of her DNA through the generations (Not entirely sure how this works as she almost never got children, one incarnation even being in a population whose entire problem is that they can't have children anymore, which is why she gets an artificual child together with Kim, which would be sealed up for 4000 years. But maybe it's just the same as with ...)
- Fei/Abel who is an irregularity forced into every generation or so of humanity by a Wave Existence from a higher dimension

I found you through your SMT memes but stuck around after listening to your Xenogears told long series. Xeno is my favorite series ever and I think you've done Xenogears justice through these videos. I hope you try to do the Xenosaga Trilogy sometime, there as close to a Xenogears followup we'll ever get.
Same here the xenoseries is my favorite series ever. Never got to play the xenogears but I really want to. I’ve played all the xenosaga episodes and xenoblade games but based on the most recent story details. The future is looking bright and hopefully they remake some of the old games

Amazingly well done, man! I’ve always been bummed out about the lack of Xenogears content online since it’s arguably my favorite RPG story of all time. It takes a hell of a mind to be able to collect, catalogue and explain the super intricate and abstract subject matter in this game..... and you absolutely knocked it out of the park!

Since Xenogears is one of my favourite games, i was very excited to see you were doing a 'told long' of it. This was an amazing summary of it and i've gotta thank you for doing it so much justice. Cant wait to see what you do next, no doubt it'll be great.

Krelian didn’t die because he is nano machines. Just like the queen in shivat he extended his life with nano machines and it’s assumed gives him heightened healing.
