The gown was handed down from generation to generation. In short it was old but Margaret simply wore it for Gammy 'coz she got caught with the warmth and love of having a family. Nice gesture from a brat socialite.
And of course, there's the whole spoof on the fact that both actors are playing the opposing nationality, as Sandra is, of course, American and vice-versa for Ryan.
"While you were sleeping" wedding in the hospital: Sandra Bullock again, but brilliant scene from a brilliant movie!

While you were sleeping was a much better wedding interuption scene than the proposal it gets interrupted by objections not once but 4 times

As much as I loved Sandra Bullock stopping her wedding in The Proposal it wasn't nearly as good or as touching as her stopping her wedding in While you where sleeping.

I don't know if it deserves a place on the list but I like It Takes Two. One that I think should have been there is While You Were Sleeping and of course Shrek.

My favorite moment is from A Different World when Dwayne interrupted Whitley’s wedding. When he begged her that really got me ! I know it’s not a movie moment but it’s my favorite. 😩
You just knew The Graduate was going to be number 1. As for the other top 9, I could have easily come up with another 9. The interrupted wedding is almost a movie cliche. For example, The Princess Bride, While You were Sleeping, The Wedding Date, Mama Mia, Spaceballs, Robin Hood, Men in Tights, Beetlejuice, Shrek, Wreck it Ralph.

The one from the Graduate was parodied in Wayne's World 2 (apparently, as shown in the honorable mention) as well as in the Simpsons. But I think it was they were all taken from an old black and white movie. I can't remember the name of it right now
My favorite interrupted movie weddings are "The Little Mermaid", "Enchanted", "I Love You, Man", "Ever After", and "Shrek".

I always thought that if the "Four Weddings" interruption happened in real life, it wouldn't have been Andie McDowell showing up at the end for the romantic finish. It would have been the bride's father, brandishing a very large bill. Saying "you just humiliated my daughter in front of London high society, but you're not going to make me pay to have watched it."
