    どちらも収納が多くていいですね、2~3人で住んでも問題無い位です。特にキッチンが最高です!年寄りにはメゾネットはキツいですが、若かったら絶対住みたいと思いました。

Both apartments have the primary bedroom on the first floor but the kitchen and living area on the second floor. Such inverted floor plan has its benefits. Because the primary bedroom is tucked away in a lower level, it tends to stay cooler in summer months and is also protected from the residual heat of the kitchen.
There are downsides as well. First, since the kitchen and living area are on the second floor, it means you will be hauling your groceries and trash up and down the stairs all the time. Second, if the floor is not soundproof, the pitter-patter of the busy feet on the second floor can be a disturbance of the people sleeping in the bedroom room on the first floor. Third, such inverted floor plan is simply not every desirable for elderly people and families with young children.
Besides the common problems, the second apartment also has the disadvantage of having the bathroom and laundry machine on the second floor as well. Imagine you are sleeping in the bedroom in the first floor, but other people in the household are taking a shower and doing laundry on the second floor. That can be noisy for you. Also, instead of having a second bedroom on the second floor, the second apartment has a loft, which means more climbing up and down, making the second apartment even more undesirable for aging people or families with young children.
That said, the first apartment is a better choice.
    Thanks for sharing!

I personally like the second room.
