@@rememberallmoons706 they're still good, they've just chosen to simplify their music and make it catchy to appeal to more people. I also don't like most of their new songs, but it is what it is. They had great potential though. Edit : there's also Everything's Eventual and Aphids that most Spiritbox fans have never heard about.
@@hayden3946 Thank you for reminding me about EE and Aphids. I don't know what were the reasons of their change and it makes me rather sad when I think about it - I hope it was because Courtney wanted to have some adventures with the soft side of her voice and let sore throat regenerate for a while. Anyway they are not breathtaking anymore they are just good.
@@rememberallmoons706 Come on man, it's one album. I know all of the songs are simpler but it still sounds like Spiritbox. Silk in the Strings and Yellowjacket are good, The Summit and Eternal Blue have a touch of that softer sound that they've always had. Don't be too down.
@@darkphoenix2 Thanks, nice of you to write that :) Don't get me wrong - I do like the new album, especially your honorable mentions - but in my opinion Spiritbox before Eternal Blue had a perfect mix and balance of heaviness & melody, screams & cleans, they also had ideal technical complexity and a spark of innovation, Courtney vocals weaved into the music in a specific unique manner - all of that made them just the next level band. And now, depending on how you want to say it, - they are "different" or as I prefer to say it - worse. I know that for sure because if I was to take only one their CD to my lifetime prison cell there wouldn't be even a milisecond of hesitation. Take care!
I wrote her, after Ive heard this song, cause I was a fan from first hearing and I realy wanted to see them in Europe and she wrote me back that they just started Spiritbox as a project and they have only few gigs for England. Now they are a famous wellknown band so Im waiting for full Eurotour soon :)
Always glad to see Spiritbox on the channel! Hopefully you two can check out Spiritbox's new album "Eternal Blue" sometime soon! I'd seriously recommend reacting to the whole album from start to finish, but at the very least I'd suggest checking out "Sun Killer" + "The Summit" + "Eternal Blue" + "Silk in the Strings"!
This is the song that got me hooked on Spiritbox my all-time favorite song out of all the songs I've listened to off the album that this song is off of got one heavy heavy bass note in this song
My comment from 2019 requesting this one was on your old channel... RIP LOL... but you two ROCK as always!!! So glad you finally got to it. Love your vibes!
Clicking LIKE before I've even watched. edit: this is my favorite Spiritbox song/video, never fails. Next song should be Yellowjacket by Spiritbox ft Sam Carter from Architects
I love when the fans go backwards when they hear the core....you guys are trippin..lol..love it...try "electric cross" and "the Mara Effect " ...get ready
First Spirit Box vid I saw, I think you would love Electric Cross 😈🤘been diggin they're new Album. Dare I say I might like it better than Jinjers new album😭
I know I'm way late to this reaction but here's a couple interesting things about this song. The first being that Courtney wrote this song to kind of convey what it's like in her head dealing with anxiety. That's why everything is so intense and chaotic. Second which is somewhat related to the first thing is that she recorded all the screaming first then went straight into the cleans without any rest. She did this so that you would sense a bit of exhaustion in her voice resembling how it feels to deal with anxiety on a daily basis.
Holy shit you finally did it and I’m at work, can’t wait to get home and see you’re reaction ,banger right here, their new album just dropped too have fun
I was yesterday years old when I learned that this music video was a tragically hilarious accident 😂 I never would have guessed in a million years. Everything seems so deliberate. It's such a good video. Nik Nocturnal had Mike Stringer on his podcast, and at 55 minutes, Mike tells the story about the filming of Belcarra 😂
Hey guys, nice reaction. You should check their three part Sirius radio live, it's a master demonstration of their skills. Keep up your energy and genuine reactions 💙🤘
Ya if I haven't already said this (cuz I watch you guys so much) this was the song that hooked me to SB as soon as I heard it I needed everything from them!!! Still my favorite and you should checkout the one take of it or even better the one from Liquid metal they did last Xmas!! Both awesome!!!
Please, please, please, react to Slaughter to Prevail - ZAVALI EBALO! One of my favorite STP tracks. They recently released an official video with outakes of the anime Beserk! Soo groovy 🤘🔥 btw, great reaction as always!
I really hope you guys get to Electric Cross. It's a gorgeous and angry song like this, but it's their only video that has really made me feel a little spooked 😅
People don't realize that this was their first single and it's fucking hilarious. They're surprised by how heavy they are when this is 99% of their music.
Is that a green or just a lighting effect? Getting some upgrades around here with a new logo and intro, plus fancy thumbnails. Looks good btw. As far as the next song, Sun Killer is one of my favorites from the new album. If you're set on doing an actual music video instead of just audio, I think the only one you have left is Electric Cross. There is also the Liquid Metal virtual concert 3 part series.
2:54 - Lucky you had your seatbelts down this time vs that recent Opeth track when you reached for the belts, TOO LATE! Keep in mind, it was not just her bandmates she killed in this video, the guitarist is also her husband... lol 3:59 to 4:03 - That riff sounds almost identical to the riff at the intro of Jinjer's I Speak Astronomy - I wonder which song was released first?
Of last four years or so, this Spiritbox´s most intense strongest heaviest most wonderful metal-hardcore song has belonged to my Top-3 of all musick videos there´s in TH-cam to enjoy in joy oh yes indeed in deeep!! :-) Those two others?? As clearly and certainly sure of course Jinjer´s Sit Stay Roll Over and Code Orange´s Swallowing the Rabbit Whole = If you L
Can't wait to listen to 'Eternal Blue' in one sitting. Their first title album. Feels like a historical moment given how consistent this band has been. If it weren't for y'all's 'Trust Fall' reaction I wouldn't have given em a chance. So thanks! Orbit Culture - Saw Karnivool - Deadman 🤘
Interesting story they improvised the other band members being dead because they got noise complaints! Adds a lot to the video though so thanks neighbours I guess lol
Man, you guys really avoid listening to great stuff so you can put it here? I'm shocked there are still Spiritbox songs for you to hear. Have you done The Beauty of Suffering? Courtney has a one take of that. This is a great music video, but what about the song?! The riffs are sick, it's heavy as fuck even with a break in the middle, and Courtney goes fucking ALL OUT. In the vocal one take of this, you should see the face Courtney makes to go into that insane breakdown after the softer section.
Spiritbox Everything’s Eventual guys :) and maybe something from Eternal Blue. I suggest Silk on the Strings or Eternal Blue haha speaking of blue I love the new back drop 👌🏼. Ps: Eagerly awaiting next song from The Ocean!! Pleistocene or Devonian: Nascent (feat Katatonia again :P
This is like how couples add to the population. Long live unity.
Belcarra and Bleach Bath are their darkest songs imo. You should check these out :
Spiritbox - Electric Cross
Spiritbox - The Beauty of Suffering
As these are the only two songs of Spiritbox left from the times when they were good... Since Circle With Me we unfortunatley have what we have...

This song was my introduction to these guys a few years ago, it was love at first sight! 🤘🏻🔥🖤
This is my favorite Spiritbox song. Cannot get enough!

my favourite song from Spritibox! The video that got me into them!
This. Was great. ^^
A reaction to the live take from the SiriusXM live concert would also make for a great channel vid :)
How can something be so adorable and so terrifying at the same time?
I know I'm way late to this reaction but here's a couple interesting things about this song.
Iwrestledabearonce-green eyes
She was the singer/screamer of Iwrestedabearonce
she is giving me big GRACE SLICK 60's rocker chick vibe.

It's not Jinjer time spiritbox is in the house and they never disappoint either.
Please, please, please, react to Slaughter to Prevail - ZAVALI EBALO! One of my favorite STP tracks. They recently released an official video with outakes of the anime Beserk! Soo groovy 🤘🔥 btw, great reaction as always!
