I currently own 28 BamBu Printers. I started with X1C, then P1P and P1S . Was always avoiding the A1 Mini as it is a bedslinger. Since they lowered the pricepoint I couldnt resist and ordered 1 A1 Mini. I am completely blown away that such a low price point machine can print with that quality. If you print a lot in PETG or just PLA and TPU for 80% of the prints the size of the machine is enough and you dont need an enclosure, so really good pricepoint. Ordered 6 of the more but I dont use the AMS on the A1 Mini.
Looking at Bambu as I have a creality K1C and it sucks! Had nothing but problems, and when I tried to return they just made me jump through hoops which ending in me just being stuck with it. So that's getting throw out my window, can't wait to see it smash into a million pieces. I like the look of the A1's
He seems to be running a print farm. Probably doesn't need the bigger build plate size, he has other machines to do that. You could then say, well you can fit more on the same build plate at the same time. But, given that this machine costs around half as much as the A1, why not just get 2 of them for the price of one, then you can put even more on to print at one time, and you could start different jobs at different times as they come rather than waiting. Also, if one machine fails, the other is still working.
I was considering a Ps1 to replace my Neptune 4 Pro but after seeing this the Mini in on the radar, how does the A1 compare to the mini besides the size?
The only reason I disagree with you is when printing low contact prints the p1s has better temperature control and it's easier to print those on the p1s. Other than that I 100% agree!
This! I have a print that only prints vertically.......didn't matter how much glue, brim/skirt or slow speed I used - the print would fail towards the top. CoreXY solved that issue.
You forgot all the different kinds of error/failure detection the A1's have and the P1's do not, you can even see it moving the toolhead to the edge to check for blobs. Those can really save you a lot of trouble if something goes wrong. Amazing printers.

how do you remove micro plastic particles in the air? i want to get one for my son but he is very sensitive to particles, voc or allergens in the air. tks
@@alexherrera3918 it’s recommended to have to cover open with pla to get better prints and if you want good results you should keep it open but if you’re kid is sensitive you can try and keep it closed and see how to prints turn out
I could not agree more. I had the Bambu X1 Carbon (it was in my office and just too loud for me. And I never print ASA, because of health issues and ASA particles in the air). I also had a PRUSA XL with 5 tool heads, which was a ridiculous bad product and machine. I had the illusion that my prusa XL with 5 tool heads would reduce the waste of the X1 carbon, by making better prints with less waste. I ended up in a martyrium of 4 to 6 weeks to get the prusa machine running with good quality prints. It never happened, so I sent the prusa back. The technology for prusa is outdated and like a horse wagon from the 18th century, companred to any BambuLab printer. So after selling my X1 Carbon for the Prusa XL, I ended up in buying a A1 mini and A1 as my 2 main printers. That was the best decission ever. Both A1 printers (the mini and the reglar one) print with such an ease, that I dont want to miss them anymore in my life. I also never needed the X1 Carbon in the first place. I am very happy with my A1 and A1 mini. Amazing combination. And to anyone else: Dont ever buy a Prusa printer. You will regret it like I did. The packeing process for the XL to send it back was also a nightmare, as Prusa wants to see pictures of how you actually packed it, before you send it back to them. You need to study packeging engeneering in order to package the prusa XL. This was also a nightmare in my case :D
the P1S is a more all around 3Dprinter, being enclosured means you can print a lot more filaments, the bed can go higher temps, you can upgrande the gears to print CF filaments (cause it has a lot more friction), more print space, and a lot more, those are two different tools for two different people, someone who only prints PLA will never need a P1S i think, but he would have the possibility to not outgrow the machine so fast
The machines are just too different. Comparing them is stupid they are different tools for different people, it all depends what you want the machine to do.

The ams lite is so much better than the standard ams. It just works. The ams is very much a 1st generation product with lots of issues.

A1 is the same as the P1s at 256x256, iirc, while the A1 mini is 180x180.

Don’t print in your bed room and get the p1s it’s enclosed and keep the printer in a good ventilated area

@@Mat69MXthe A1 Mini actually comes with hardened extruder gears already, no need to upgrade them

Large PETG print will fail at A1 or A1 mini without spray or glue, sometimes even with glue or spray, it still warp.
