I just bought one just because of this video haha I had just purchased a Nikon TeleTouch but also wanted a “newerish” point and shoot camera and found this. Just a beginner so I hope these cameras stay with me for a good while.
My first point and shoot was a Pentax bought new in the early 90’s. I used it for about 10 years & it was an amazing tool. I shot in clubs using slow sync and self timer and have shots that nobody else was getting back then. It was slimmer than your models & I think had a 35-80mm zoom. I easily carried it in my pocket with a few rolls of film. Those were the days. (I’ve heard quotes about people being wild in the 90’s don’t have evidence of their partying, but I actually do. Haha)
I love the Easy Share snap focus mode on this one - it's perfect for street with a fast film. You can really tell the points of quality throughout, the lens, feature set and build set it apart. Great camera - perhaps surpassed overall by the 160 at the end (but that one really is one of love's ugly children and misses the 28mm).
This sounds like a very cool camera. I’m currently shooting a Pentax IQZoom 60-R which is a great pocketable camera. The focal length is only 38-60 but in addition to many of the features on the 928 like Bulb and multiple exposure, it also has 2-speed interval shooting, 3 seconds and 60 seconds. It’s an excellent camera and one that I don’t understand why it doesn’t sell for so much more but I won’t complain.
HI Scott. Coming at you from the UK! Good video. I love my 928! I'm always singing its praises in the face of all the Mju shooters! ;) Just wondered do you have a favourite film that you use with your 928? Thanks for sharing.
Hey Jo! Thanks for watching. I love shooting lower end film like ultrafine or Kodak colour plus. But that's not to say these little cameras don't love a roll of portra from time to time.
They are not popular because they haven't been endorsed by someone who happens to be famous. Put a long forgotten about point and shoot in Jay Zee's hand and they skyrocket to $745.00. Sadly, my friend, that's really hope it works.
Just picked up a clean one of these for $100 aud, half of which was shipping! The sample images for these are really fantastic and i think its just been buried by the big popular names in the p&s space!
I love mine! You failed to mention the M has a panorama switch, sure you lose the top and bottom of the frame, but it’s a nice (and hard to find) feature.
I recently picked up one of these but I’ve realised that the diopter is completely broken - would I still be able to use the camera or would all of my photos just come out broken? Such a bummer
I honestly hope nobody watches this video, because I love these cameras and I don't want anyone else buying them😂 I have a 928M, 140M and a 105WR. I'd love to get a 160 and a P to add to the collection.

Hello, please make a video comparison of Pentax Espio 928 and your other film Point & Shoot camera. Thanks!
Nice one Scott.

Shattered, I found one at Lifeline for $25. Insane buy.. keep your eye out.. bargains everywhere
just grabbed a mint one for $8 at the thrift store! lets go
Amazing video!! Thank you for talking about these cameras!!
How would the Espio 115m compare to the 928?
It’s a 38-115mm length. The 928 is 28-90mm I think they do a 25 and a 35 in other models, but you’d need to do some research.
those two are not easy or cheap to get in my country 😭 i really really want the 928m one 🥺🖤

He mentioned it
Hello i have a question i hope you answer me.
I have pentax espio 928 and there is H1 error code. What should I do? Thank you
Got 928 in the old days, but not able to get hold of film these days, any good deal? Please advise
Why 928 is bad?
How do i put the flash with my espio 928 ?? I always activate the flash mode but it doesn’t work. Does my camera have a problem?
Heyy what battery does the Pentax espio 928 need?
It uses a cr123a battery
I recently picked up one of these but I’ve realised that the diopter is completely broken - would I still be able to use the camera or would all of my photos just come out broken? Such a bummer
If the autofocus works it shouldn’t matter too much.
You should cut the loud music 🎶 very annoying. I do like the Pentax espio 928 and I also have the rollei prego 90. Both a fun cameras to shoot with.
