I love the changing moods of that piece, even a tango hinted at in one place, and the way it all falls together seamlessly - the playing of all members of all the sections is faultless.
@@ToshiClinchProductions Thanks Toshi - another fantastic player - I heard him on a One O'Clock Lab Band performance of Drew Zaremba's Pistachio (he looks totally different with a beard). I recognised Drew and Josh Kauffman, all tremendous soloists who deserve to be far better known. What a happy looking band this is - the drummer looks as if he is really enjoying the session. As well he might. I just wish you worked in the U.K. (though the working conditions here are not great). All the best and keep well to all of you, especially during this Coronavirus infection.
@@alangiles2763 maybe one day we will get to the UK. All of the guys were fantastic, and over the last few years have started to make impacts in each scene they are apart of. Josh is now a member of the US Army Blues ensemble, Drew is a professor at the University of Northern Colorado, and Conner is a regular performer in Chicago. The session was super fun and I wish we could do it again. If you want more regular updates on what I am doing at the moment, check out my company Jazz Melbourne on Facebook.
@@ToshiClinchProductions Thanks Toshi I will. I hope you do get here, and I am glad all is going well for the lads. I worry about Josh in the Army - I hope it isn't like the British army where you are yelled at 24/7 and you lose your independence. Anyway, I hope he is happy. The whole band is excellent -I also recognize Brandon Moore and Paul on the piano from the One O'Clock Band - I love the bass guitar and drums and latin percussion - a really tight section just liek the brass and reeds
Trust there are some melodic charts in your library!
Definitely are!

Thanks Alan! It was fun writing the piece and even more fun hearing the band play it for the first time
YOU GUY´´S ROCK ¡¡¡¡¡¡ 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Thanks!
Wait, there are some persons in this band who were in the lab unt band, no ?
All of the band members were students at UNT at the time, with almost all of them being in the one o'clock lab band at some point.
Who is playing the bongos during the fast part?
Nicholas Rothouse is the primary percussionist for the album and plays bongos on the fast section of this piece.
is there sheet music available for this?
Feel free to contact me at facebook.com/ToshiClinchMusic
Does anybody know the name of the trombonist on the right of the line-up (the only one using earpieces rather than headsets)? Thanks.
His name is Conner Eisenmenger.
