@@marklehl1984 Not true. Giants beat the Redskins twice in '89. Twice in '88 and '90. The Eagles and the Cowboys gave the Giants a problem in that era. And the Cardinals to a lesser degree.
Always great to see the Eagles beat the hated midgets ...uh, I mean Giants, but lets be honest, on the Eagles' 2nd TD it looked like Randall's knee(s) were down before he got in the end zone, Eagles got a break there .
The 49ers came to Philadelphia two weeks earlier in Week 3 and beat the Eagles in a shootout, 38-28. Joe Montana threw three touchdown passes in the 4th quarter to rally past Randall Cunningham in one of the most entertaining games of 1989, on their way to back-to-back Super Bowl titles❤️💛
Pat and John, were/are the best
This was the first NFL game I ever went to. I was only 10 at the time, but I was hooked immediately.
Man watching Randall was magic. There was never a player like him before him or after him
@lopetta4077 Randall would dominate in today’s NFL.
Totally Agree and I am a Giant's Fan from Philly!!!
You know Mike Vick exist . .
He wasn’t even close on there second td
@jamiejohnson4524 absolutely bruh, Randall would kill it in today's nfl
This is the Eagles game Dad was watching while Ma was in labor. 89. Great year. Go Birds.
This was my childhood! NYG 88-92
And mine as an Eagles fan! Reggie, Randall, Jerome, Eric Allen, Keith Jackson - just electric to watch.

WRAL-5 (Raleigh/Durham, NC - now an NBC station) and WNCT-9 (Greenville/New Bern, NC) aired this, as well.
A classic Giants/Eagles matchup during this era.
Great defense, great game! I love those old school Eagles games. Great memories! Fly- Eagles- Fly!
I remember these games . Go birds 💚🦅🔥
When 16-7 was considered a comfortable lead
That comment was too harsh. 15 yards!
2:53:49 2:54:02 The Vet was something else! #FlyEaglesFly 🦅
Giants stadium to back then. These atmospheres are not the same anymore
@@justinbricks150 the Linc is loud as h*** today!
Miss the vet and giants stadium
Back when CBS had Tecmo Super Bowl Music and the Eagles were the only NFC East team that beat the Giants every year.
Techno Superbowl wasn't released yet. It didn't come out until 1991.
The redskins beat the giants a fair amount during that era

The beating those QB's took back in that era.... 🤕 Good Lord!
2:11:00 awesome
1:22:24 famous NFL FIlms sound bite Parcells yelling at Simms “hey Phil I’ll run the game”.
Peak NFL
eagles always seemed to have the giants number back then.
Then the Giants had the Birds number winning like 10 in row from 1997 to 2001.

This wasn’t a touchdown. Cunningham’s knees are down before the ball breaks the plane
Damn these dudes were hitting hard out there! Todays NFL is soft!
The fields at Veterans stadium were hideous and dangerous. Hard to believe these finely tuned athletes had to play on this garbage.

Great pursuit by the best to ever do it 56
How coked up do you think Lawrence Taylor is in this game?

He threw 4 in the 4th quarter
Eagles had absolutely no offense. Their O line was terrible; no good running game; no shifty RB.
An accurate assessment of Buddy Ryan’s tenure in Philly. Offense was dependent upon Randall making 4-5 big plays a game.
This is when football was football unlike the sissy crap we see today where you can't even touch the quarterback. I was at this Game back in 1989.
Stop it please that eagles team won nothing
Cunningham so overrated
Of course a white guy would say that. 🙄
Doesn’t really mean a lot coming from a jealous white guy
