Hi Will! Your videos are great thank you so much! We upgraded to a redundant Ableton Rig using PlayAudio1U because of your videos. If we use Lightkey in our Ableton session for the A rig will that me too much load on our machine? I have PTSD from our tracks rig going down during a show. Just don't want to put any load on the tracks rig. Need your experience and guidance here 🙂

Hey Will! Thanks for the video, as always super helpful. My band has been using Lightkey with ableton for about a year and it has been a great experience. Because our show has tracks and lights now, I figured it’s time to set up redundancy and getting a Playaudio 1U. Will our lights have redundancy with A and B computer set up? Or do I have to run lightkey on a separate Mac for that? Any help around this would be awesome. Thanks!

Hello! Question for you: Lightkey is not showing up for me as a MIDI port on Ableton. What am I doing wrong? I followed along with the video and it's just not there! Thank you.

Thanks a million for your excellent video's! I'm an Ableton guy and still using DMXIS. The thing that holds me back using Lightkey is the fact that I don't see a way to repatch DMX channels after I program a show. I'm a technician for shows that travel to different theaters. I use a combination of my own fixtures and I use the house lights. So when I get to the venue, I have to repatch some of my DMX adresses. Do you know if that's possible?
    Thanks!

You’d have to reach out to DMX-is support

Thank Will. Had a similar question to this. For A touring band not traveling with our own lights, We give specifications of the lighting setup we want on the venue. The question is, How do I connect the computer to the lights to have the same results from venue to venue? What do I need to purchase that will connect to the venue-provided Lighting?

I don't have much money, what is the minimum laptop specs to run Lightkey and Ableton on same computer?

I run it on my base model M1 MacBook Air with zero issues.
