At the moment i'm creating my live set and this video is super helpful. I'm just wondering if there is a cheaper software to have Ableton with external video in sync? For example I have 10 tracks and each track has it's own video. I'm preparing all my videos in Premiere Pro...so I don't need visuals in real time, just the videos in sync. Is there a less complex software (no visuals and lightening control) ?

Hey man, got a question if you could help! I'm kind of wondering what the best resource is for a live sound art installation. I'm in the process of making some objects that emit sound which will be placed in there centre of the gallery, my hope is people will play with the objects which will manipulate the sounds. I want a video projected on the wall which also manipulates with these sounds. What might be the best resource for doing this? One where I can kind of link parameters/automation so I can leave Ableton running and it will just work as people play.
on the topic of multiple machines, can you send midi/timecode info from a mac to a pc? if I'm using a macbook to run ableton is it possible to trigger the video on a pc laptop?
Is there an option I could use for FL Studio on a Mac(just bought it). The FL Video Player is only playing 25fps videos…I just need a simple video playback. Thanks

hey great vids. i.m having problems controlling resolume ave with ableton live 9. through midi notes. i previously had Madrix running on my vid computer via triggering midi notes on the linier side of ableton. that computer was stolen so i'm trying resolume. im running both probrams on windows. are you able to help with makeing then work with the midi noted already programed in ableton? already have rtp midi and loopmidi running on both computers and i can see that there is a connection.
Just tried Timecode inside of ProPre timeline and it worked great. It seems to be a trigger and not constantly adapting, but at least I know the start point is going to be right.
Check your settings so it follows your track
Great video. I am new to this and have one simple need. I just bought a launchpad and want to play 30-50 small 30 sec.-videoclips individually when I press the button. Some just as visual effects and some with sound. The MK3 launchpad came with the ableton lite software but it seems very complicated. I just want to push the button and play the video. (No timecode). Play from beginning each time I push. Thats it. What is the easiest / cheapest software to use that goes with my new launchpad?
Id use Resolume or Arkaos VJ
just make sure your Bluetooth is locked down if you need it or turned off or someone in the audience will try to connect to your computer in the middle of the set and cause the video to disappear mid set. That was fun. 😅
Hey guys, I am trying to figure out how I can trigger clips in resolume with clips in ableton live? Link is all set up, I can midi map directly to midi gear, but how can I trigger clips from clips in live?
For some reason when I drop my clip in from my GoPro, it imports the audio but the video window isn't there. I've tried the view video button and encoded the video to 720 with handbrake but I got nothing. Any tips?
I have been testing out Timecode into Pro7 and I have yet to get it to work. I know a few others that have had the same issue. LTC will show up in Pro7 but won't trigger anything. It will be a great feature once it works.
It takes a lot of steps to get it going. I have a new video coming that shows how to set it up step by step. Glad they added it, but the implementation takes a bit longer than I think it should.

Timecode disadvantage is when you want looping and jumping between section, it cut video to new possition
I’d say if you want your video to follow when you jump to sections I’d use timecode. If you’re using looping videos I’d consider MIDI
@@fromstudiotostage we have own design, with combined clips and effects together. Also text effects. We already though to generate final clip and sync with timecode but decision in our design is to stay with midicontrol.
