Ulyana Sergeenko truly understands haute couture. She understands the quality and luxury expected from a couture house and constantly delivers. She understands that the days of Galliano at Dior and Lacroix's couture are over and manages to deliver a cool and modern take on couture. Sergeenko is a truly astounding woman. A real inspiration to women who want to be the head of an international design house!
Chris Zaghi To be honest, I think "couture" has no place in the modern world. Especially with the ridiculous restrictions & requirements (like requiring a permanent atelier located in Paris with at least 20 employees😒). If silly brands like Vetements (tacky sweatpants and oversized bomber jackets) can be granted couture status then it's a sign that couture is either dead, antiquated, or confused. That being said, I agree with you: much respect to Sergeenko for presenting a collection that's a well needed modern interpretation of what couture can be...unlike the bullshit Demna Gvasalia drags out of his closet and sends down the runway then everyone praises him for it. Fashion is such rubbish sometimes.

Great collection, is very dramatical silhouttes and elegance, one of couture week's most anticipated shows. The soundtrack and the ambient, perfection!
this is the pure Haute Couture.
in my eyes, Ulyana Sergeenko can do no wrong. Season after season she is the only designer I make it a duty to see the entire collection. There are some very strong pieces in this collection but overall I'm slightly underwhelmed. Still love her aesthetic, though. And still my favorite designer.

this is just sad. her earlier collections had a context and it made them so very interesting. the clothes and the beauty looks were equally impeccable but now since last spring, her collections are just plain disappointing. the lighting is awful and the clothes dont make sense. they're beautiful i agree but it doesnt have a context like it used to. i watched it trying to figure it out but i got nothing.
Uliana probably did not want anyone to see her collection that is why she picked such horrible lighting. Even Vodianova could barely walk on these heels.
