18:49 The reviews
In every episode with Harry, there's at least one part where Roger looks at him with the most disdained face possible. Poor Roger thinking, "what in the hell did I do to deserve being paired up with this?"
"Oh good, Harry Knowles is the reviewer in this episode." - No One Ever
Because of this?

@@uhdudewhy7980 I just thought Harry Knowles was a yutz in general. The accusations certainly didn't help!
Election is brilliant.
Nobody could replace Siskel
Of course. But I thought this fella was second to Roeper.
I liked Michaela Pereira she was a good 2nd or 3rd for me to Roeper.
@@ilovebrandnewcarpetsHe actually was Bullied by his looks after this show so Ebert had him back on again.
@ilovebrandnewcarpets Pretty sure he lost his day job a few years ago because of sexual abuse allegations and Ebert referenced in another interview that there was a charlatan who lied about his experience and he hated working with that was a guest reviewer. Most people thought Harry was who he was talking about
Love these 1999 uploads. Thank you!
You're welcome!👋
R.I.P. to Jessica Campbell, who was brilliant as Tammy Metzler in Election. 😥
Election is one of my all time favorite movies. Everyone in that movie played their role perfectly.
Finally, Roger is the attractive one!
Similar to Jay Sherman on the Critic said, "With me as your co-host Roger, you'd be the thin one".
Reese Witherspoon was really great in movies like "Election", "Freeway" etc. She shined brightest in dark-comedies, playing characters, and played a criminally low amount of them in her career. Kinda makes you wonder what could have been had she stuck to those, instead of the rom-com slop roles she was served.
I loved the review on Lost and Found😂. Even though they both gave it thumbs down, you could still feel a generation gap between them.
Thanks for holding court Harry.
R.I.P Estelle Harris of Seinfeld.
I had a lot of life changes going on at the end of the 90s and ended up not making it to the theater very much, so conicidentally I watched both Election and SLC Punk for the first time within the past year. I really liked election, and much like Knowles I couldn't help but think of this as the third Broderick high school movie. There was something especially amusing about imagining the rebellious Ferris Bueller turning into this sort of sad, put-upon teacher being manipulated by a student. I think it was one of Witherspoon's best roles. I didn't love SLC Punk, but like Ebert I thought it had a lot to recommend it. I did really like those self-realization moments about this lifestyle he's chose by the protagonist, but I found the ending a bit contrived. I thought My Own Private Idaho did it considerably better.
I'm sorry but Harry Knowles looks like Rocky Dennis' overweight cousin. FINALLY-! Roger is the thin one! That said, God, I missed Gene by this point in the show. Election is the best movie, however, I feel it was overhyped.
Hahahahahaha.... Marky.
19:42 *Roger:* _Harry thanks for being here this week ...it was [ not ] fun_
*Harry:* _It was my pleasure_
*Roger:* _Okay, I'll see ya on the web [ because I sure as hell can't stand you being here ]_
Harry Knowles was no Gene Siskel but he was a harmless fill in. He was friendly & seemed to have a good rapport with Ebert.
They LIKED Mighty Peking Man?!! Okay, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised about Harry Knowles liking it, but, seriously, Roger?!! 😂
7:46 - :49 He said he didn't.
