MARAWI CITY
The Islamic City of Marawi is a fourth class city located along the shores of Lake Lanao. It is the capital of Lanao del Sur, Philippines on the island of Mindanao
Being the country's only predominantly Muslim chartered city, it was declared as "Islamic City of Marawi" on April 15, 1980, through City Council Resolution No. 19-A.
On May 23, 2017, the city was attacked by a pro-IS group called the Maute group, and this started the Marawi siege or the Battle of Marawi.
This five-month long armed battle between the Philippine government troops against the militants affiliated with the Islamic State became the longest urban conflict in the history of the Philippines.

I just found out that there are many Muslims in the Philippines. It's amazing how beautiful the mosque is, the buildings are big and the houses are neglected, it would be a shame if they weren't looked after anymore, now it's a ghost town. If I could come here, I would also like to explore Marawi City, but I don't have the money. Isis is like that. In Indonesia, ISIS also previously attacked the island of Bali by carrying out bombings on the island of Bali, Indonesia.
