    OMG! That name Aka Eze Aka is now a commissioner! That name brings me lots of memories.
    Growing up in Enugu, I was a big fan of his radio programme called Midmorning Show on the FRCN.
    I still remember the day, 06.June.2006. He talked about 666 because of the connection that day has with the mysterious number.
    May God continuously bless him for positively shaping my childhood and those of other millions. Funnily enough, I don't even know what he looks like, but I am going to google him now just to see a picture of him.

    They should also add another structure of about fifteen store buildings that will really make the presidential hotel is on another level ❤

    Afiatv deserves credit for this because it brought the abandoned hotel into the news, which in turn spurred the government into reviving it. Congratulations to all of Igbo land and Enugu in particular.

    @afiatv, thank you for the good work youre doing. Please it would be nice to bring the attention of the government to the roads in the Metropolis. They need serious attention as some already lost their marks. Then Okpara Square and Unity Park needs to be upgraded. They need to look more beautiful than the way they are. Kindly look into this. Thanks.

    Reconstruct or renovation
    Will the old structure be brought down and rebuild or just renovation ? What will it cost ? What will be the new changed to modernize the hotel

      No sir.
      The "old structure" is an Ibo heritage building and should not be pulled down under any circumstance. The building is an artefact showing how our ancestors lived, their aspirations, world view, hope for the future etc. They taxed themselves to leave this legacy for us to enjoy. Please don't pull it down. Nothing stops the adding of more floors or building another 10+-storey hotel on the site to stand along side the old Okpara era vintage building.

      @@LabaraNdoniaAgreed. Imagine how beautiful the area will be if they build 10 floors next to the legend.

    They should also increase it by adding 2 or more storey building 🏢.

    Don’t construct road in Ahum, allow it to be natural. the walk is part of the fun. Waterfall is a reward for the long walk.

    Hotel Presidential should be demolished,that structure is no more iconic in 2024, We are still praising what DrMicheal Okpara built in 1963 , Dr Mbah think about the future,make it more modern,if Dr Okpala can be futuristic in his design of that hotel in 1963........Be futuristic in ur own design in 2024,so that people will be excited to talk about the hotel 70 years from nowl,lol I know u can't fit in Okpala's big shoes but try and be remembered even if is for one thing

    • @LabaraNdonia
      @LabaraNdonia 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No sir. You got it all wrong, sorry. The fact that Michael Okpara built it in 1963 is precisely why nobody should demolish it. If you or anybody else wish to leave a footprint, go to one
      of the numerous vast expanses of land including New Enugu site and build your own. Elsewhere on this planet, we have Gothic, Victorian, Georgian, Edwardian etc. architecture defining historical epochs in which people lived all preserved for posterity. So it should be in Iboland also. What is futuristic to you may be vulgar and crude to someone else, so build yours and let posterity be the judge.
