Amusingly enough, ounces and pounds do exist in metric (or at least the Dutch varient). An ounce is 100 grams and a pound is 500 grams. The latter of which is technically wrong and depreciated. It's supposed to be related to the UK pound which is about 450 grams

I'm glad I'm not the only one who switches ounces and fluid ounces. Stupid imperial system using the same term for two different things, and then making it so they're both multiples of eight just to link them together even more.
