- Year 3 of trying to harvest my 1st turkey. Being a deer hunter my whole life, I'm learning this all on my own and its extremely difficult! Come along to watch the struggle . Any advice appreciated in the comments!
Love your videos keep them.coming and good luck this year young lady.
Be safe out there i love watching you to much
Katelyn, the turkeys aren't really talking down here in Tennessee either. I was talking to a UT biologist the other day and he said it was because they had an abundant food source and basically "turkeys don't talk with their mouth full". 🤣 Anyway, stay safe and as always BIG HUGS from Tennessee!
That's one way to look at it😂
Even though some of the footage was lost, it was still great and you were very calm about it.
Patients is the main thing I have learned over the years of Turkey hunting 🦃
It's a mental game more than anything, especially when they aren't gobbling much. You have the right idea, just need to keep after them, cover ground, and stay positive. All it takes is one, and it can happen fast when it does.
Definitely mental!
Birds were quiet this year, but I never heard a single gobble. Don't give up!
Watch for wild mushrooms while you're out.. could make a trip worth the effort instead of being skunked.
Population isn't down. You need to find the food, what hens want, same as doe's.does.
Try a wood pecker call or even a coyote howl to force a gobble.
Gotta get in earlyy. I haven’t heard much on public but my one private land I can use there’s a fuck ton of them. Tons of action, had a whole flock come in within 30yds but I’m trying to use my bow so it’s a bit harder
I definitely tried a little bit of everything!
Thanks for sharing your video. Don't feel bad; I hunted in Maryland, Millington, for 15 days until I heard a gobbler. I did have a chance to shoot a jake that came in silently, but I chose not to.
I think you need to get out earlier. Many days they gobble on the roost and then shut up after fly down.
The coyotes and bobcats are putting a hurting on the turkey population.
Love the content
Glad you enjoy it!
I’d probably leave that owl call in your truck.
Keep at it. Love your videos. God bless and good luck.
Thank you!
I don't know if it's legal in your Ohio but if it is I'd Try a 1/4 or 1/2 strut Jake for a decoy
I think you can use any decoy in Ohio...
@@KatelynArmstr0ng good so you can use it, I'm sure you heard of people doing it, give it a shot next season I hope it helps you
Aye kate, het a primos hoot flute, the hooter you have is for out west, owls dont sound like that on the east coast!! Next use slate calls and shy away from the mouth yelpers! You're more than welcome to come to Virginia this coming year, when the cold fronts come through its best to do something else instead of educating the turkeys you have, that way when its hot and pretty you have that much better chance! Ive slayed over 200 longbeards, be glad to show you what you need to do
To many damn coyotes around, they know it's not safe to announce where they're at, still have a couple days left here in Michigan.
I'm hitting Michigan next week!
@@KatelynArmstr0ng Welcome to the best hunting state ever ❤️
Calm
Hey bae, I love you.. 🥰🖤
If it was easy everyone would be doing it.
Thats what they say 😂
