@@thehawkbirds My Brother was in a Ramones cover band once called "Road To Ruin"... At one point their guitarist abruptly left and they still had a few gigs to honor so they reached out to me to fill in. I honestly may had know 2 or 3 Ramones tunes whereas I was a heavy metal guitar player but I stepped up and learned many tunes in a couple weeks to help them out. I have to admit that I had a fun time for sure slamming some chords and grooving to that punk energy for a few gigs.... I'm looking forward to more videos... :)

That's the first Ramones song i learned on guitar! Not that easy to downstroke all the time! I also notice the Grolsch red rubber "strap locks"! I use those same ones! 👍

BB 2025, and what a version. It's great seeing you all grow together musically. You've all improved so much, it's like you have been touring 20 years. I'm going to have to single out Dad here. Great drumming, really driving the band's tightness. Mum, you rock and Sunflower, rattles my windows with the E string. Fun fact, the album version is 177 bpm (I can see Dad nodding) but they played it faster each performance with words shortened to accommodate over 200bpm. They would also order the hottest curry they could find locally before playing which you probably knew but I find kind of funny. Thanks Hawkies.

We’ve all come a long way together, and it’s really nice to know that our playing has become tight enough to earn the compliment of “tightness”. I like to play the drums fast. We did this one about 190 BPM. (I don’t know how Marky hits 240, but I saw it in videos!) Playing this song is a challenge when attempting it slowly! Cuz it just has so much energy! ⚡👊🏼😎 And Mom’s got that rock star energy, no doubt! Sunflower's E string definitely gets a workout, and I think it’s safe to say she’s been loosening the nails that hold our house together!! 😄Regarding the curry, I didn’t know they had that curry tradition, but it makes sense, because in “I Just Wanna Have Something To Do”, they sing about curry vindaloo! 🌶🌶 Thanks for always bringing your knowledge to the table, It is nice that you always provide history and substance to these conversations! At one point their guitarist abruptly left and they still had a few gigs to honor so they reached out to me to fill in. I honestly may had know 2 or 3 Ramones tunes whereas I was a heavy metal guitar player but I stepped up and learned many tunes in a couple weeks to help them out. I have to admit that I had a fun time for sure slamming some chords and grooving to that punk energy for a few gigs.... I'm looking forward to more videos... :)

BB 2025, and what a version. It's great seeing you all grow together musically. You've all improved so much, it's like you have been touring 20 years. I'm going to have to single out Dad here. Great drumming, really driving the band's tightness. Mum, you rock and Sunflower, rattles my windows with the E string. Fun fact, the album version is 177 bpm (I can see Dad nodding) but they played it faster each performance with words shortened to accommodate over 200bpm. They would also order the hottest curry they could find locally before playing which you probably knew but I find kind of funny. Thanks Hawkies.

We’ve all come a long way together, and it’s really nice to know that our playing has become tight enough to earn the compliment of “tightness”. I like to play the drums fast. We did this one about 190 BPM. (I don’t know how Marky hits 240, but I saw it in videos!) Playing this song is a challenge when attempting it slowly! Cuz it just has so much energy! ⚡👊🏼😎 And Mom’s got that rock star energy, no doubt! Sunflower's E string definitely gets a workout, and I think it’s safe to say she’s been loosening the nails that hold our house together!! 😄Regarding the curry, I didn’t know they had that curry tradition, but it makes sense, because in “I Just Wanna Have Something To Do”, they sing about curry vindaloo! 🌶🌶 Thanks for always bringing your knowledge to the table, It is nice that you always provide history and substance to these conversations! Dawn. A cold and overcast Monday in Northern Europe. Crawl from bed and stumble into the kitchen. No coffee and the green mold on top of the orange juice does not look appetizing.
