Im an idaho native here in the Treasure Valley out by simplot haha there’s definitely tons of farming out here but not as much as it used to be. Lot of old farmers struggling to keep things going. What’s cool about our state is there is so much to explore here from mountains, natural hot springs, the Owyhee mountains past Homedale. North east Idaho is cool. Up towards Stanley and salmon. I mean there’s so much cool shit and cool people all around the state. Now Treasure valley folk are a different breed haha we’re old and bitter and hate some outsiders, the super rich and politicians. I love your views on idaho 😂 we’re crazy but there’s some awesome freaking people here. Haha loved this in interview!
Also an Idaho native. Idaho is great. I think people come with certain preconceptions about how it is already. That its boring, or there isnt anything to do. We Idahoans love the outdoors and nature, we can take a 15 minute trip in any direction and find new areas worth spending time and taking your family to for years and years. I couldnt live anywhere else. Everyone is nice, we try to take care of our public lands, and its peaceful. When it comes to the entertainment scenes, we are always used to missing out on the big shows be it comedy tours or concerts. So WHEN someone shows up ...we have to ask why did you decide to come when so many decide to skip us. But for the outdoors, hiking, fishing, hunting, skiing, it cant really be beat.
I agree. I love Idaho. I didn't have any expectations cuz honestly not too much is known about this place till you get here. But when you find all the fishing spots and camping spots and know it's not a far drive to do these things......yeah...I'm not leaving...I support the lifestyle of Idaho from the Idahoans that taught me. Keep Idaho...Idaho
Honestly Idaho in general isn't farmland. Pretty much any other state I've ever been to was more fertile. Its absolutely ridiculous how beautiful it is here. The fires are rough. As a fairly new "transplant" from Upstate NY (Dairy farm country) this was a great pod. I love it here. Perfect place for an old trout bum.
