@theTechNotice as a massive fan of your channel and SFF PCs in general, I'm going to disagree with you... While yes the socket is compatible, it's the thermal capacity that could not handle above the x700 (10700-13700) heat capacity ... I doubt it could, even with the advisable Noctua Heatsink upgrade (would highly suggest as the heat sink these come with is not the quietest) ... ON THAT Note would love to see what, if any, performance / or fan audible improvement you get with said Noctua Heatsink upgrade. Thanks again for great videos and FANTASTIC content !!
I am sure you can do better and less expensive that is customizable and nice aesthetics. Why don’t build a Best-Bang-4-Buck Mini PC with full size GPU for Creators ?
@@sly2k I can tell you that this solution does not fit with the newest Zotac Magnus ONE 4070 (ZBOX-ERP74070C) - I ordered all the parts, and the CPU fan in this latest version has a custom size so the Nocuta or Be Quiet coolers I've tried does not fit the holes on the motherboard
@@@smartinussen i think this is due to the i7-13700 being LGA1700 socket instead of the LGA15xx from the previous version. Noctua has a LGA1700 version of the NH-L9i. I was thinking about that one .... What did you end up with or whats your current situation on the fan situation?
would you still recommend the Fan upgrade? Can the parts of the previous version be reused or would you go for something different? My machine is kinda loud (in stock configuration), it sometimes kicks up in the fan curve, then slows down, kicks up again... - i will check your Fan settings here as well.
This is just a Glorified Laptop in a Desktop shell. As the only possilble upgrades are storage and RAM. That 500w PSU will not allow any major upgrade at all, its just bearly hanging in there.
The reality is though, that you'd upgrade the GPU with new generations of GPUs. So an RTX 5070 would slide in there, not an RTX 4080 if that makes sense?
Same here! Cinebench R23, 10 min run throttled E and P cores almost 1.00GHz, relative to the max core and max package temps that were 75-79°C. A rare 80°C was reported by HWiNFO64 Pro, but nothing hotter was reported at any time. I watched intently! In ASUS ROG Strix Z690-G Gaming WiFi mobo UEFI, I have set the TJunction at 94°C. The i9-13900K is air cooled, and functions well.
How does it compare to HP Z2 Mini G9 workstation? The HP has smaller case yet it supports 13 Gen i9 so I am wondering which would provide better overall performance?
Hello everyone. I have a question. I'm currently using the optical output of my old computer. How can I connect a 5.1 headset to this one? Thank you for your help.
Great vid as always. I dont like small form factor pc's cause of heat and that packing in small case. Would love to see you build some creator pc in phanteks 719 case or Corsair 1000d no liquid, for video editing, no rgb, pure air jet cooling. I personally went like this with my pc with deepcool ak620 and arctic fans in phanteks enthoo pro case and i love it with my i9 13900, zero heat problems with cpu or gpu, pure fun to work on 6 monitor setup and play games. Thanks for your hard work, one of my most liked channels!
Hello, I have Magnus One with 1060 3gb, i5 10400f and 16gb ram, I am trying to upgrade it to Zotac 4060/4060Ti guys in shop where I bought it said that for some reason the card wont switch on, I have 500W PSU in it although 4060 Wattage consumption is 160W
I remember when these were launched w/ the GTX 1080. Both the CPU & GPU were liquid cooled. Now it's twice as big, no liquid cooling & a multiple tiers down the GPU product stack. All for the same price. Oof.
Does it support DDR5 5600mhz? My 5600mhz Corsair works only at 4800mhz. Zotac support confirmed that it's limited to 4800mhz only and all information on the website that it supports 5600mhz is a mistake...
On the Zotac website it says up to 64GB of ram. I was doing research on several small form factor machines that use laptop size components and pretty much all of them have a cap at 64GB of ram at present time due to the current designs of the motherboards. So far your best option to get a similar size machine with 96GB of ram at present time would be to get a build based on an ITX motherboard that supports the 96GB and using a Fractal Terra or similar size case that would be comparable in volume to the Zotac but a fraction of the price. Hope this helps.
Oh, One more thing! The CPU is upgradeable, coz it's socketed. So feel free to put in a 13900 or a 14900 (If that comes out)! :)

The question is whether bios will support new processor.
In case of original Magnus One, 11th gen didn't work due to lack of bios support
What about the power source? Is this the same as the first gen? Also can you use a 2nd gen motherboard on the first gen in order to use newer CPUs?
indeed, cpu vrm wouldn't hold 13 gen@@Primalgoo

Looking forward for this! If ever made. I love this form factor but it's usually a lot of asterisks*** 😅
Because smol is never cheap.
Do you have a suggestion for a quieter fan and cooler that will fit ? The noise of the fans in this box is LOUD.
i'm also curious if the noctua fan build of the previous iteration would be valid for this here, or if theres even a better recommendation.

I used a Thermalright AXP90-X36. Works like a charm, my Magnus One is now super quiet.
Really nice design, just need availability in the US and realistic pricing to go with it.

I would think a lower consumption AMD would better suit this formfactor in such a hotbox.
I think TVB is kicking in at such low temps that causes throttling... Check throttlestop if this zotac magnus has turned off or on TVB option.

The PSU actually states 485W* on itself, last I checked.

Does the thunderbolt port works with rtx 4070 or is it only for iGPU?
Please we want a full comparison between the RTX 4070 and the RX 7800 XT asap 🙏🙏

If it came with 32gb of RAM, it'd be pretty much perfect. Did just 16 save all that much?
Gaming benchmarks please...how is it for sff gaming pc ?
I love the case and form factor, I just wish that it used more standard components.
How does it compare to HP Z2 Mini G9 workstation? The HP has smaller case yet it supports 13 Gen i9 so I am wondering which would provide better overall performance?

found a barebone 4060 version for 820€ new... very hard to resist
Ahhh damn, I always thought these would house a standard mITX board but it doesn't look like that's a normal square mITX board. Too bad :(
Is it worth it to buy the 4070 ti OC or should I go for the 4070? And are the asus proart cards good or overpriced?
The 4070ti is much longer (32cm) than the 4070. And the 4070ti has a 3.5Slot Size…(the dimensions are like the RTX4090).

I‘d expect even a white power cable😮…
bro they keep on creating cases like this and i can't decide. too many good cases.

i cant find this pc anywhere only the old 3070 one
Can it accommodate a 4070 ti card?
would love it with a ryzen 7800x3d more power efficient and cooler
Hey, can you do a Video about the EKWB EK-Nucleus AIO CR360?
Done!
Is this actually released yet ? .....As i cant find it anywhere for sale in the UK
I have one at home so yes :D
Buy black and white, performance test, does black matter for thermals? Then mix and match two systems, make penguin and sheep.
What do people use these for? I don't mean to sound dumb. Just curious
A beast when compared to expensive laptop and a gentleman when compared to gaming pc.More like a companion
Would it be possible to install 10 GB ethernet?
You can if you give up the graphics card.
Are AMD GPUs good with davinci resolve
Yes!
They should sell it as a steam console also :)
Is it a standard itx mobo?
No it's not, it's a custom built MB from Zotac with unique double side design ie CPU on one side and GPU on the other
One stick of ram.
Having said that...pretty cool.
One stick of DDR5 ram works as dual-channel DDR4. Heard it from somebody.
couldn't find this clunker for less than $3K barebones! lol
But it did lead me to the superior asus G22 so thanks
Cool
A full AMD version would get my attention.
Can u review next asus rog g22ch
Only if this was less expensive. Right now this is just too much to pay.
96Gb possible?

Hello
1600 euro for the barebone (no RAM and SSD) no thanks .
U can just put 4070 to normal zbox magnus one black like I did ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I must take a crap, every time I hear word creators, describing people who are making videos on the YT.
