Huh 🤔 That's why M.I.A.'s first album is called "Kala"
Good that Rath is no longer, they might change that too as it sounds too close to Wrath and we don't want that anymore in the overly sensitive culture these days.
Also good: I don't care about these cards in the Chaos drop, so a very easy pass from me. 😀 still thanks for the video 🙂
Changing the name is just stupid. Period.
I like the new name and its cool theres a lore reason for it too. I do think that Aether Drift in general is really silly though lol
Just admit you meant to call it Hsedalak, but QC never caught your mistake when you printed the set, WotC
If you're gonna change a name, I think WotC did the best way you could. They explained it and had a story to change it.
So do we get the designated shitting street in this set?
Aether is cosmic poop.
and a cricket secret lair
Meanwhile Tom Grossi will ask for a screaming street :P
I actually thought the art looks like Hallmark cards.
The lore concept of the Aetherspark seems kind of redundant/unnecessary now that the planes have been connected by Realmbreaker's omenpaths.
They should have done their homework long before 🤦🏽♂️
I thought replenish effects bypass shroud?
I do not like these new Secret Lair cards. Having the text on the back makes no sense. This will delay the game as players will have to slide the card out of the sleeve to read the text. The first card had the mana symbol on the top right hand corner while the second card had the mana symbols on the bottom center. The 3rd card has the symbols in every corner. It's like a guessing game trying to figure out where the mana symbols will be on each card. I won't pay $25.00 for this GARBAGE! In fact, I wouldn't take it if this set was free. Thank you for the video Magic Historian.
To investors out there in taco land they WILL NEVER PRINT the Kaladesh name again so now all of the sealed boxes will go to the moon .. congratulations
These cards were designed by ai
I'm glad that they're looking out for the handful of people who would be insulted by this.
That's gotta be the least appealing SL so far. My cube is triple-sleeved and double-sided cards are annoying AF.
So, basically the government of the plane was changed so they changed the name of the plane...that's some extreme self insertion.
Maybe they should also petition for changing the name of Nigeria.
Whacky Racers secret lair, anyone? Yeesh!
I'm going to guess it's a DEI style advisory group? I mean, this is foolish and will just cause confusion down the line and brings up needless drama.
You’d look sick with a beard
Lol so lets just change the world govenrment and the name of this whole plane. Peacefully
Literally change the name of an entire plane because no one actually complained, but don't fix the SL problem that unanimously everyone hates. Seems like WotC is filled with a bunch of fringe Karens/Kens that complain about the most useless shit.
2:40 tf i didnt even know mtg is printed in indian lol
So when coming up with a fictional name, it's now your duty to avoid sounding similar to anything possibly negative in any language out there?
I guess in the end every word in every language should be changed to something that doesn't mean anything potentially derogatory in any other language. Or is it just English because it's the evil one? Are the Japanese free to say innocent phrases that sound almost like slurs in my language?
New name sucks.
Colla-dash. I can’t wait for Elon to make wotc great again.
People that can't handle made up words, shouldn't be exploring fantasy
There's no art on those cards.. it's just logo stylized text with explanation text on the back.
Those cards suck to look at in my opinion.
Imagine accidentally naming your set "N-word Country" while trying to score DEI points
Just...do you even use buzzwords _intentionally_ anymore, or are they just habitual as breathing to you?
I always found Arnold's family name funny. Swartz, means black in german... And the second part... well...
It terms of changing kalidesh i gotta say it sounded worse then it is. I like the idea of a peaceful evolution of government and turning the race to the inventors fair into a legit event seems like a Nascar cross over (Nascar got it's start running from cops during prohibition)
But why run from cops? Because f em. That's why.
Who TF thought to put the text on back of card. Fire them. Dumbest shit I've ever seen
More woke nonsense. Maybe Elon really should buy Hasbro.
Stop cheering for Stinky Twits
@@christopherb501 I hate Elon, but I also hate renaming things because it's some how offensive when taken in a very out of context manner. Besides that, if Wizards was actually serious about being woke they'd need to cancel every single set because of cultural appropriation. We all know Kamigawa is just Japan, Kaldheim is Scandinavia, etc, etc.
Oh my soul!!!
Way too politically correct!!!
Bad form from Hassbro.
Adults raging about Magic changing the name of a plane makes me chuckle and picture the comic book guy from The Simpsons. Take a big sip of your Big Gulp, sit up straight in your computer chair (which squeaks and squeals from the strain being put upon it) and let the Internet know how you feel!
Lol I was thinking of Helen Lovejoy with this over the top reaction. 'Won't somebody think of the children!'
I hate your first minute your enthusiasm kills me
This sounds racist
