Hi and thank you for the Tutorial, the formula does not apply with my power supply box, this means that it is crashed, what else can I do to repair it?
They may use different wire colors than and may have own requirements for power sensing (brown cable could be a grey or pink one for instance), but the principles to get the PSU started are the same: connect Power _on to ground, connect a dummy load if needed, connect power sensing if needed
Thanks sharing this information and video. I am planning to create a DC Variable voltage and current Power Supply from an old ATX power supply.
Nice!
Thank you very much !!!!
Please, is there any way to get around 1.5v from a power supply unit ?
Great little trick! Puppetry of the Power Supply, HILARIOUS!
Happy you liked it!
Thank you.. nice video
Thanks, happy you liked it
Thank you for this, I am going to be using a laser project for this one, using the 3.3V rail.
Good to hear, good luck with your project
thanks, just what i searched for!
Nice, good luck!
@@TheLabOtomy that it doesn't blow up, or why? XD

Start with visual inspection, check for anything that looks burnt or busted
Solid jam.
🤘
Thanks I needed this
Welcome
can I combine two power supply and tie the wiring together? what will this give me as far as volts and amps? ty for your assistance. 🙂
Not recommended I believe since a delta in specs / outputs between PSU can lead to serious issues.
@@TheLabOtomy okay and ty for the reply
And what about the pg wire where I to have connected it and will it run without pc wire connected to motherboard ????
The Power Good (PG) signal is sent from the PSU to the motherboard. It is important for the MoBo to start, not for the PSU to start.
Does COM stand for common ground?
Correct
You need to do a longer video just for the music.
Will do
👍👍👍
What about a proprietary PSU, like Dell/Alienware and such that have a "Power OK" pin in the mobo connector?

@@TheLabOtomy okay, I will try just the 1 jumper 1st. Then power ok if needed. Thank you!
i try all day long to power my monitor. Of course, i dont join the green and black wire.
GG!
