- Singapore’s track record of keeping its own house in order has been key to building up its standing in the world, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said at the May Day Rally on Wednesday (May 1). “We must zealously uphold our reputation and work hard to build it up, through active, creative, and principled diplomacy,” he added in his last major speech before the leadership handover. I see a whole lot of critics here and I assume they are from the opposition parties doing their part ahead of the General Election. I came back from a multi-year stinct in indonesia round about the time PM Lee assumed premiership. Singapore weathered the biggest financial crisis and pandemic we have seen in my life. I would say our society is a better one compared to what it was back in 2004. I have had my fair share of opportunities. I have my grievances and I didn’t necessarily vote for the ruling party in the last election but by and large, PM Lee has done a great job.🎉
Yes this is a great leader and I live under good government. 2004 I got my Punggol flat and now I own a few properties with my own successful small company bidding/winning govt projects fairly . HDB provide a great foundation for young Singaporean to start their dream, stop whining.
