It's not weird, mods have been causing a TON of the bugs in the game this whole time, and many, MANY people have tried to tell many, MANY others this. Mods also have become considered an essential download and basically part of the basegame (looking at you ww, for turning ts4 into someone's fetish outlet, and now that person will not play the game with any dlc, just that mod that gives them their fix). They're literally now to the point where they have no choice but to discover what the conflicts are with these mods and make their game compatible with them, since certain devs will not do the work to make sure their scripts are compatible with ts4 themselve, and many players refuse to hold those devs accountable for that. Instead the playes complain, boycott, and even send threats to ts4 devs over it.

EA has successfully implemented Mobile game style mechanics into the game and no one is batting an eye. This is literally breaking the game and we should be able to manually opt out of them. This is just a ploy to get people to play and tie them to coming back everyday to complete this… I want to come into the game and play normally. I want to be able to disable the packs I don’t use, opt out of events and not have nothing flashing on my screen or some extra UI in the corner of my eye while I’m trying to play my normal game the way I want to.
I played the event yesterday and was like "4 different wreaths, how groundbreaking." 😆I get the idea of adding events to give "fun" objectives to break up gameplay (i assume it's really just a business tactic to raise playing numbers), but this definitely should just be a holiday SDX Drop. These events mostly feel like one item recolored 5 times, but at least they didn't add in the in-game potions as a "reward" because that was clearly just filler. I do think the bear slippers are cute though lol. Also, where are those cookies in the art! figured they'd give a new recipe. **Adding in, omg I used the hot drink tray yesterday and i figured it was CC that I downloaded 😆 That is a nice item at least!
Another battle pass, great I didn't finished the pervious battle event because the game crashes and not to mention I have other things to do. It was not enjoyable and was not respectful of my time.
Its not free, when it cost my time and nerves. When I count the time this costs me with minimal wage, even a kit would be cheaper, but cc is free. Itried the last one and got stucked, did not work for me.

It seems to be a game that sims CAN at leaste interact with since it can be found in the build and buy under active so we'll see. I’m pretty sure this is to get numbers to prove to shareholders people are still playing the game and will buy more dlc in the future and that this type of play for mobile games will work.
I don't mind it if... 1. they work 2. they take that blasted icon off the screen when it's not active... ie you have completed everything to date. 3. they give you and option to close it out or put it away like they do with other events such as holidays and such. 4. They don't give you crap items in the event Some of the items are so bad I don't even want them in my game but you have to have them if there is anything you do want, you can't choose which weeks to participate it's all or nothing. But then I've also wanted them to allow us to turn packs off like we could in previous games, you know choose which ones to play with so if we bought a pack we hate we could at least remove it without jumping through hoops.

I like the events, but there should be a way to toggle off the icon, even when playing the event once you've completed the goals the icon just becomes unnecessary screen clutter -- also the 'week one' part of this event was a huge letdown. It barely took a minute to complete the goals (I think there were only three) and the two rewards for this week are pretty dull. I feel like, if they're insistent on doing some battlepass type thing all of the goals and rewards should be available to claim from day one so people can play it at their own pace and when time allows.
Loooadds of people love the events. I agree they should have an ability to hide it/not participate. But cmon they have to incentivise it otherwise it would be pointless doing it. And if you miss it then it's just not that deep. If they made it so you could pay to complete the event and just get the stuff everyone will complain.

People are really mad about free stuff? Yeah they should be working on bug fixes, that I get. But they fixed a lot of my issues with the last event (making it quicker, got rid of filler prizes) and I haven't heard as many people complain about it crashing. I'm sure there's still some people, but the team seems like they're trying. It's basically a base game update, but more fun and with light gameplay.

There are so many people who act like EA is a small indie company who make this game as a passion project, rather than treating them like the company that they actually are, a billion-dollar AAA company that releases glitchy, unfinished games for way more money than they're worth. So many people say things like "if you don't like it, don't play it," not taking into account that people have spent money on a product that doesn't work, or "be grateful," as if EA is giving away every pack for free as a charity service or something. Sims 4 community is the only community I know in gaming that have the most beef with each other but allows EA to constantly scam and disrespect them. It doesnt matter what the Sims Teams do anymore. People are ALWAYS going to find something to bitch and Complain about. Even when something actually DOES work in the game its still not good enough for the Sims community. There are wars going on and THIS is what people are crying about???

People are really mad about free stuff? Yeah they should be working on bug fixes, that I get.
But they fixed a lot of my issues with the last event (making it quicker, got rid of filler prizes) and I haven't heard as many people complain about it crashing. I'm sure there's still some people, but the team seems like they're trying.
It's basically a base game update, but more fun and with light gameplay.
Yeah... this one is really boring and annoying.
The SIMS community is pitiful, you just complain and the worst part of all is that you all continue to play SIMS
People are allowed to criticize a product that they paid for, if anything the toxic positivity in the community is way worse.
@@rebesim , this!! because it’s important that people criticize and complain, no one wants their hard money wasted on a game or a company that isn’t putting forth the effort into there product. it’s weird how people think that others are just supposed to *not* complain about the sims 4 knowing good & well the game itself, is not perfect in the slightest.

There are so many people who act like EA is a small indie company who make this game as a passion project, rather than treating them like the company that they actually are, a billion-dollar AAA company that releases glitchy, unfinished games for way more money than they're worth. So many people say things like "if you don't like it, don't play it," not taking into account that people have spent money on a product that doesn't work, or "be grateful," as if EA is giving away every pack for free as a charity service or something. Other companies aren't releasing games that are completely broken while also costing over $1000 for the full experience, but EA can get away with it because the fans keep excusing their actions and buying packs.
Sims 4 community is the only community I know in gaming that have the most beef with each other but allows EA to constantly scam and disrespect them. The game in its full capacity is worth over thousand dollars, and there are a lot of issues still attached to the game. You can like it if you want but have some leniency for people who complain and feel cheated… many people have invested their money on this and feel as if they have a right to criticize what they’ve bought.
When ARE simmers happy? It's giving spoiled brat vibes at this point. They're N O T fixing the issues with the game. They've already implied this when they basically said they plan on bloating out the game with several more YEARS of content.
The game is trash. Stop blaming paying customers for not getting their money's worth.
