Another lovely video. David is just so patient, no matter what is thrown his way; shows the love of a long and happy marriage, God bless you both, you are blessed. I love sharing your interactions just as much as I love the travelling wih you. Thank you again.
I’m catching up with your latest adventure and enjoying seeing the zoo. Got a kick out of watching you guys load the truck with your shopping haul. It’s holiday time so got to get some extra things while out.
Nelda and I loved meeting you guys at the SA meet and greet! We enjoy watching your adventures and plan to get on the road more in the coming years as retirement approaches. And oh yeah, thanks for the WB gift cards from the trivia game!!! We ate at the same WB after we left the party before heading back to Austin. 👍
As a trucker, I appreciate your "cardinal rule" about not staying at truck stops, especially the "big three" (Love's, Pilot/Flying J, TA/Petro), and to a lesser extent, Sapp Bros. These are the ones that truckers flock to, because of shower credits and such. The independents and small chains, not so much. The issue I have with RVers, however, is the slides. A while back, I pulled into a rest area with diagonal pull thru truck parking. Someone with a 5th wheel was parked right in the middle, slides out, stairs down. However, even though he wasn't over the parking space lines, he was effectively taking up three spaces since no trucks could make the swing into the adjoining spaces. In the case of the truck stop in this video, you were in a dirt lot with no lined parking spaces. While the place did get a number of trucks in it, I have no issue with you parking there, and in similar places. This brings up a question... Have you two ever overnighted in Voyager's sleeper because you were parked somewhere you couldn't/didn't want to extend Orion's slides?
We're new to hauling a 5th wheel but one of the "must haves" was access to the bed with the slides in. We also wanted access to the fridge but that wasn't as important as the bed/bath were. Our fridge slide isn't wider than the steps but in a truck/rest stop we'll put it out, access the fridge & pull it back in. If at all possible we'll park on the edge so that the slide is over the curb. The only truck stop we stayed in had a separate lot for RVs. The semis' lot was on the other side of the building so not easily accessible for those who would just park in a place for a semi. Two sets of pumps, RV/cars & semis on their own sides. Separate entrances too. Very well set up...and no limit on overnight stays!
Not for that reason. We always find a spot that allows at least one slide to be extended (bedroom). Thanks for your comments and your perspective as an OTR. We appreciate it.
Great video love the scenes at the zoo and David playing with the electrical stuff on the trailer on the house is the breaker on or off it’s on no it’s off. No it’s on but the zoo part was fun to watch.
Ok, that was better than I thought, the mistake that is.....sorry Pathfinder & Orion are having issues.... hope your Thanksgiving was a great day.... ❤❤❤
What a great video. I enjoyed the zoo and especially Sondra’s photos at the end. Watching you 2 trouble shoot anything is always a blast to watch. Your thought processes to solve a problem is fascinating to me. I love watching you 2 think and work together. I look forward to next week and seeing David’s expert maneuvering to get out of the RV spot. Safe travels …
Great video, Happy Thanksgiving. I noticed you may benefit from a headlamp restoration. They look a little cloudy. It's not really bad , but it's easy to do yourself.
Happy holidays! I did a little restoration on them a few months ago but I think it's inside the glass enclosure. May get new ones...these are only 10 years old!
Thank you for the vlog, David and Sondra. I wasn't expecting a new one for the holiday. I hope you've been having a happy Thanksgiving Day. Be safe and be well🙏🏾💙🤍❤️
Happy Thanksgiving! Debi and I really enjoyed meeting you and the other RV couples at the Meet-n-Greet. Travel safe and hope to see you on the road again.
Hope your Thanksgiving was a good one! Another fun video - gorgeous zoo photos! I have a Pacifica, and it came with the pull up window screens - the dog appreciates them! Be safe ❤
I've told my hubby when we start traveling more I want to go to all the zoos and aquariums lol. since im disabled I can't hike like u guys do. I wish I could tho!
I know there's no Whataburger up here but you know it'd be nice to see you guys and and meet you and see one of my other TH-camrs that I actually watch
Another fabulous video! Love the thumbnail. It was great meeting you guys - the BTBT trivia contest was a hoot! Thank you both for sharing your great adventures! Have a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING! 🦃
Hey, I switched up to LED lights on the vehicle they're supposed to be cooler and they supposed to last longer we'll see I know one thing they're brighter
Thanks for taking us to the #SanantonioZoo & #WhataBurger. Two places I’ve never been in my 60 years on this earth 🌍. Really enjoy your channel as a #Subscriber, sorry can’t afford #Membership on #SSID. I watch y’all from my broken #LiftChair & a #SmartTV which is not to smart, 😝
Super excited to have you along on the journey with us. Glad you enjoyed the visits. You're not missing much with the membership... some behind the scenes but all the good stuff is still on the channel for all. Thank you 😊
HELLO YALL BEAUTIFUL ZOO IM GLAD YOU GUYS HAD A GREAT TIME ! COOL VIDEO AS ALL WAYS ! 🙏🙏ON SMART CAR !BE BLESSED & BE SAFE ! I JUST LOVE YOU GUYS !! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Brand new subscriber here. Question: were you all able to go to Palo Duro Canyon (T-shirt👀 )with your current rig? We stopped there ❤ on our way home (Tulsa) from picking up our first new to us RV/trailer from Cheyenne where we met the previous owners from western Montana. We plan to visit National Parks and other places, but not go full time. Our rig is a little smaller than yours….😂 We have a Tundra CrewMax and pull the second to the smallest 5th wheel. Ours is a 2023 21 foot Escape 5.0. I think the smallest is the 19 foot Scamp. It’s not for everyone just like your rig isn’t for everyone. But getting out to see nature and meeting ppl is is our common ground! ❤👍👍
The music as you were looking for your parking spot was very very appropriate. 😂😂😂. Did the rubber band snap on the toy car!!!. 😮. You are like my hubby he can fix anything, ❤
You absolutely couldn't be in Texas and not stop at a Whataburger. Lol!!! I hope you get the lights figured out quickly. How did you make out with the Smart Car?
Well you two another great Video the wife and i look forward to watching you each Thursday. We aren’t full timers but last year we did 14000 miles over 3 months and 9 days. the plan 2025 is Alaska we took my mom and dad and two daughter a there in 92 and did 10480 miles in 52 days. We were home on vacation as we were living in Saudi Arabia at the time. This time we want to take our time and then possibly drive across Canada to Nova Scotia. Maybe one day we will be in the sam area as you two and get to meet. We plan in march to do a week in Big Ben. Home for us in Kingsland Texas.
Isn't electrical issue fun? We have had our RV for a year now, and we had one AC circuit go out. I ended up looking at every outlet for issues but could not find it. I then noticed that the first outlet in the circuit worked but nothing after that. It ended up that a nail from a trim board had gone thru the wall and into the wire. This RV is 4 years old, it is weird that it took that long. I think we got lucky, the wire was all black and there was a burn hole right thru the romex. We could have had a fire. Also, I wonder why the circuit breaker did not blow?
Looks like you were parked at the Segovia TS at the beginning of the video. Next time you’re passing through there, just a few miles west at Junction (exit 456) there is a BBQ joint called Cooper’s that has some of the best brisket you’ll ever eat. They also have turkey, ribs, sausage pork chops and some peach and blackberry cobbler you’ll love. There’s plenty of parking with truck stops on bother sides of the road. It’s on the north side of the exit across the street from the McDonalds. If you’re in the mood maybe headed to Quartzsite it’s worth the stop
People look at me like I'm crazy towing a 45' toy hauler with an F350 dually , but this thing is next level. I have nightmares about getting into and out of Campgrounds that say they are big rig friendly but don't quite understand what big is. I can only imagine the stress involved in trying not to hit every tree in there. Trees are great but they should be trimmed back so there is no way you can hit them. In 12 years I have only broken off a King antenna from a low hanging branch , thank god for JB weld. Now I have solar on the roof I cringe whenever I see any tree branches. I think the title should have included "Worlds largest grocery getter".
Kerrville is nice. We enjoy that area up to Fredericksburg and towards Enchanted Rock. I-10 is a mess but it will be nice when complete. Thanks for watching
Just missed you, I left just before you arrived and came back just after you left. The San Antonio house is wonderful for Thanksgiving (It's getting cold at home base in Michigan). The SanAn house is just North of the I-10/1604 interchange where the flyovers are being installed. It has been a loooong process and still has a while to go. They close I-10 most weekends (hopefully not this weekend, cause of Thanksgiving). The Zoo is great as is SeaWorld and 6 Flags. Had no idea that nice RV park is there, it's pretty urban. Great turn signal service work 👊 Salts Gone is a good product after you have had salt exposure. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Not sure if it helps, but we had some strange things happen in our motorhome, and noticed that behind the circuit breaker panel (the main circuit breaker panel) we vibrated some screws loose. We tightened them, and all was well. Hope it helps.
it’s wild how no one talks about Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki even though it completely shifts how you see things, but I guess not everyone is ready
I heard your turn signal blinking fast when you were pulling out of that parking lot at the last store . When you had your slide toppers installed there is not a screw in a wire 🤷♂️. I guess being in trucking an heavy equipment all my life I guess that blinker is just normal for me. Have you ever thought about using that electrical grease on your wiring an bulbs . It is a major help on ground wires well all of them but mostly uncovered outside wires. They make little an big tubes well and cans of it . The tubes look like a tooth paste tube but a lot smaller . Thanks
Kudos to Admiral T RV Park for accommodating you guys in SA. Who wouldn’t accommodate you guys? Technical terms for you guys, line CURLY PIG TAILS….. UR FUNNE
I would stay clear out of Texas. Not long out there and I never did get on a road that wasn’t under construction. And traffic was horrific every place and some were even 2 lane highways
Hi Sondra and David, is that metal pole on the back of (uh oh...) Orion, (or is your Space Craft called Voyager) where you appear to have a "mini" or small Starlink? We have been contemplating Starlink for a time. SA is where we hang our hats.
Glad to see you didn’t MONKEY around there at the SA Zoo! Live in Grapevine, Texas and love the SA Zoo as well as the SEA WORLD facility on the west side of town. Could do without the lizards, snakes, etc. Not for me please. Good luck with the SMART CAR! You guys ROCK 😅
Hey, does DC lights could have a Transformer that could be faulty or out what you do is pull each light out on each end and see which one has the Transformer a lot of times they're just have a Transformer and then there's string of lights
Just wondering if you have tried water softener crystals instead of pellets. And I'm not a fan snakes but your vid of them was really great, I feel better now. :). One other thing, would all of that shopping stuff fit in the smart car.
We are trying water de-scaling and de-mineralizing pellets but have not tried anything else for softening. I'm definitely not a fan of snakes but behind glass they are cool to watch! There is NO WAY all of that stuff Sondra bought would have fit in the Smart car. We had some bulky grandchildren Christmas presents in all of that stuff. Thanks for watching.
I admire David's patience and attempts at appearing non plus about his wife's shopping habits, I learned a lesson, just smile and nod your head!!!!
Oh yeah...not much to say...of course, some of the purchases were for me....and presents for the grandchildren so can't complain too much! 😎🤣😂
@@bigtruckbigtravels Wonder if she feels the same way about your what a burger habits😂😂😂
i agree that is what we do best at😊
@trimegz3105 most definitely! It goes both ways. 😆

Aww, that was so nice. What a true blessing to have a happy marriage AND enjoy each other’s company, too 💕
Thank you. Really appreciate your comments.
I’m catching up with your latest adventure and enjoying seeing the zoo. Got a kick out of watching you guys load the truck with your shopping haul. It’s holiday time so got to get some extra things while out.

Great video of the zoo! Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing yourselves with so many of us! Rick
You're very welcome, Rick. We enjoy sharing our experiences and get a kick out of everyone who really enjoys them. Pretty cool. Thanks for watching.
Really enjoyed the visit. Looking forward to seeing y'all again in the summer. Be safe!
Thanks and summer weather is always better.

Wow I’ve never seen a snake drink …good catch Sondra 🙌👍❤️🇦🇺
OK...I don't like snakes but that was an amazing catch by Sondra indeed.
We've been there, we understand your frustration on the sites. We had a Class A and it was tight. Enjoy your time here!
Thank you. Being an RVer, is always a fluid situation. Thanks
Enjoyed the video, hope you guys had a great thanksgiving!
We did and hope yours was festive and joyous. Thanks

Definitely brighter. Our headlamps are LED and it's a big difference.
We recently got a Whataburger in Opelika Alabama where I live. Thanks to David, I have got to try it. Lol
Oh yeah! Hope you enjoyed it. Thanks
Thanks for another great vlog makes my friday morning 😊
You are so welcome! Glad we can be there for you!
Thanks for doing these videos guys. I had to laugh when David was working on the electrical, looks like he was wearing a pair of Sandra,s capri pants.
😂🤣😎🤔Hey...those were my comfy sweat pants...this investigation was a spur of the moment type of thing.
Happy thanksgiving to you each. Safe travels
Happy holidays! And we hope you have a joyous New Year.
You guys were right down the street from us!!
Oh wow! So close!
Great video! What brand of pads do you use under your rigs leveling Jacks?
Not sure of the brand but they are mobile home jack pads with a 20K lbs weight rating.

OK a question for you. Did you check your fuse and see if it was blown? Didn't hear you say anything about checking it. 😊
Did not check it. Bulb looked blown so went that direction. Thanks
You know I heard that blinker clicking fast and thought you had a bad bulb.
Yep, it was a warning sign.
@stevethomas4095 David could have just used blinker fluid, it's much quicker than changing a bulb.
@marapeters5464 😆 ok, that's too funny!
I agrre with you Sondra, we dont take truck parking either but our camper only 35 feet which is smaller than your set up.
Yes, that's a good plan but there are exceptions... as with all things in life. 😆 🤣
AH Man!! I was wanting to see you back out of that spot. I know you can do it, but I just like watching the team work to get the job done.
We'll see what happens next week. Thanks
Music that enhances the video is sooooo wonderful….

Happy holidays! So glad you joined us on the journey.
3 days for a 30-45 minute belt change job!!?? Wow!
Yep. Of course, they had to schedule us in and order the part since it's not in stock due to not many Smarts are in the road. Got it done! Whew!

I’m so excited to be witness to your travels via TH-cam, do you have to stop at truck scales ?
Nope, we are encouraged to bypass them so we don't clog up the line. Thank you

Turkey 🦃 Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
Happy holidays! And a joyous New Year.
David you need to thy Heinz Pickle flavored ketchup. I am not kidding. It is very good.😂
I've seen that and pickle mayo too. Got me curious 🤔
it’s wild how no one talks about Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki even though it completely shifts how you see things, but I guess not everyone is ready
No one knows about it
I heard your turn signal blinking fast when you were pulling out of that parking lot at the last store . Thanks
Thank you. I applied "De-oxit" on the grounds.
She broke the smart car lol ,
😆 🤣 she did!
Thanks for sharing 😊😊😊
Thanks for watching. It's our pleasure.
Kudos to Admiral T RV Park for accommodating you guys in SA. Who wouldn’t accommodate you guys? Technical terms for you guys, line CURLY PIG TAILS….. UR FUNNE
They were great. Thanks. We're lucky to find it much less name it! 😆
Love you guys form Australia
Thank you so very much. We love hearing from our friends down under. Enjoy your warm holiday season!
Great vid guys, I swear Sondra is Gail's twin, it's quite uncanny.
That's crazy. Wow! Happy Holidays 😊
What were the first responders at the RV park for? Was it a pre party party with yours truly?!
😆 🤣 showed up for a domestic issue. Coincidence.
I would stay clear out of Texas. Not long out there and I never did get on a road that wasn’t under construction. And traffic was horrific every place and some were even 2 lane highways
Texas is definitely a mess. The population is growing so fast that the infrastructure can't keep up.
Lots of construction for sure. But it's better when it's done.
Hi Sondra and David, is that metal pole on the back of (uh oh...) Orion, (or is your Space Craft called Voyager) where you appear to have a "mini" or small Starlink? We have been contemplating Starlink for a time. SA is where we hang our hats.
Neat town and yes, it's a Flag Pole buddy Starlink Gen2 mount.
@@bigtruckbigtravels Thank you!
Love the flamingos and Edie. Bet you’re heading to beach on Mustang. BTW David, have you been to the 2 story Whataburger in Corpus?
Thanks. Haven't visited it yet but we have driven by. In the plans and yes, heading to Port A.
WATER-BURGER IS THE BEST I LOVE IT!!!!
Yes, it is! Appreciate you taking the time to watch the channel... as always!
Make sure to not touch the lightbulbs when you change them. If it happens, just wipe the bulb off with rubbing alcohol.
Nice tip. Thanks.
Wow, chore day is hard.
😆 lots to do!
What was the purpose for the fire engine and the multiple police cars? Is it because it's a Meetup technically a public venue they were required
Coincidence. There was a domestic dispute across from us and the authorities were called in.
Thanks for the comments. FTW zoo is awesome. Used to live near Lewisville.
Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤beautiful
You are so welcome. Thanks for watching
Hey, does DC lights could have a Transformer that could be faulty or out what you do is pull each light out on each end and see which one has the Transformer a lot of times they're just have a Transformer and then there's string of lights
No transformers on DC circuits.
Thanks. We'll check it but it seems like the power cord to the switch is getting compromised.
The color of the motor is that a Detroit.
It's a Volvo D13
Not the best zoo but the Detroit zoo has a parking deck
OK...that's cool. First one I'd seen. Thanks
