They don’t allow RVs or trucks to stay in their lot overnight and that’s a good thing. I get it and you're correct. Also, they don't have to maintain a huge parking lot which generates no direct revenue. Still don't like it but understand the business philosophy.

There is a question, you have a sleeper on the tractor, if you take turns sleeping you should not have to stop to sleep. If you are not going to use the sleeper then trade for a day cab, and shorten your wheelbase. Also a note to other RV'ers a lot of campsites do not take anything over 35'
There have been a few occasions in which we did that but we prefer to stop and sleep in our home. We like the condo semi-truck for the room when we travel and eat lunch in the truck. Thanks
Hey guys just saw you came through Houston hope you had a good trip I haven't finished the video but hope you had a good trip know that I live in Houston Texas and the Southwest area 😁
Too cool y’all went through my hometown! What did you think of that Beaumont-Orange/Louisiana construction and traffic? Hopefully, it wasn’t too bad on your way through. Love your videos! I look forward to them every week.
the people exiting a freeway when they see traffic is a funny phenomenon, i witness it all the time. the frontage roads and grass in between makes it very doable. Free entertainment!
Ah, the Hoover met! It used to be just a baseball stadium and a parking lot. We used to ride bikes and skate there when the kids were young. Now it and the surrounding area are so developed with schools, housing communities, shopping areas, plus the RV park. Welcome to Alabama!
We went to the Bucc-ees in Daytona Beach in our Kenworth T680 with our Grand Design 5th wheel several years ago stoped for a little over an hour and was never hassle about being there.
As an Aussie truck drive I can appreciate you trying to not take truck spot’s too many rv’s here in australia do that. But considering the size of the usa that parking situation was crazy to see. Most of our truck stops and rest area are much smaller and would say most have under 10 spots to park a semi.
From your friendly neighborhood trucker... Rest areas tend to fill up around 7 PM or so. I avoid the Stennis rest area, primarily because it takes so long to get off and back onto the highway. I'm not surprised to see that many trucks along the road there; there is very little big rig parking in that area. You passed one of my favorite stops down that way; LA I-10 x59 has Peto's truck stop, and they have some very yummy boudin balls. And sausage. And catfish. Heck, everything is yummy. One of these days, I'm going to actually get a chance to sit down and have a meal in their restaurant. I've overnighted a few times a bit farther east than Peto's, in the rest area under the Atchafalaya bridge. And David, if you're ever running I-45 between DFW and Houston, the TA Express at exit 198 in Fairfield has a Whataburger... ;)
Oh, we've been to the Whataburger at that T/A. They also have fried pies there! The rest area under the bridge is nice. Thanks for the comments. Good info to know.
Another great video! FYI, when driving through a National Park this week I looked at my Husband and said "I know why David and Sondra don't have sticks and bricks." What a beautiful country we have! We are closing in on day 130 of our road trip. I don't care if we ever go home.

Thanks
I live in the Lake Charles area. Would of loved to have waved as you passed through.
That would have been great to get a wave! Thanks
Hey guys just saw you came through Houston hope you had a good trip I haven't finished the video but hope you had a good trip know that I live in Houston Texas and the Southwest area 😁
We always try to make the most of our travels and the trip through Houston was uneventful. Thanks
Some times you need to use the satellite view on Google maps and buildings appear
Yes, I tried that but it was still under construction. Thanks
I'm at Whataburger in Gulf Shores Alabama because of you. Let's see what it's all about!😅
Woohoo! Hope it's a great experience!
How did you wire your star link on the Rv. Thank you for the video
From the dishy, I plug it into a Smart plug for ethernet and coax that I installed outside. Run that to my router inside. Pretty straightforward.
Amigos, The family makes it so that even if we are very far away we will go look for them as soon as possible.
Definitely. Family is first. Thank you very much for your time watching the channel. ☺️
That’s awesome great team driving
Thank you. Teamwork helps. Yay!
I worked at Stennis many years ago. Always rained after every rocket engine test.
Coincidence? One day we'll visit.
If you have a trucker's g p s or you are using google maps on your phone you can program it that you can ignore the tolls
That's a good tip, thanks for sharing and we have that in our settings to avoid toll roads!
Too cool y’all went through my hometown! What did you think of that Beaumont-Orange/Louisiana construction and traffic? Hopefully, it wasn’t too bad on your way through. Love your videos! I look forward to them every week.
Thanks. There's been construction on that route for years! One day it will be finished!
Nice trucking ! Enjoy the next couple weeks staying put. I am sure you will find some areas to explore and maybe some hiking!
It'll be the holidays with family... but you never know what we'll be up to! Thanks for watching. Hope you have a great holiday season.
the people exiting a freeway when they see traffic is a funny phenomenon, i witness it all the time. the frontage roads and grass in between makes it very doable. Free entertainment!
😆 🤣 that's true! We see a lot in our travels. Thanks for watching
So fun watching you drive the “rig” pp
Thanks. Fun to drive it too!
Sure enjoy watching your travel days.. have you guys ever stayed in Lake Chelan WA? Beautiful place ❤️
We've been in the area but haven't stayed there yet. One day we will. Thanks
Ah, the Hoover met! It used to be just a baseball stadium and a parking lot. We used to ride bikes and skate there when the kids were young. Now it and the surrounding area are so developed with schools, housing communities, shopping areas, plus the RV park. Welcome to Alabama!
Yes, we were surprised how much it's changed too! Thanks for the Alabama welcome. 🙂 Very convenient area to stay. Thanks for watching.
We went to the Bucc-ees in Daytona Beach in our Kenworth T680 with our Grand Design 5th wheel several years ago stoped for a little over an hour and was never hassle about being there.
If you're a single axle truck then they let it slide. Tandems are another story. Thanks
@ ours was definitely a tandem axle truck with a custom bed and a smart car on the back.
@darrells1806 that's great. Maybe you got lucky.
Awesome adventure thanks for sharing..
Glad you enjoyed the video!
As an Aussie truck drive I can appreciate you trying to not take truck spot’s too many rv’s here in australia do that.
But considering the size of the usa that parking situation was crazy to see. Most of our truck stops and rest area are much smaller and would say most have under 10 spots to park a semi.
Yeah, I know, it was a shock! We were really surprised that night. Thanks for watching
Thank you so much!
We are glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching
good Luck on the move Jorden , i know this is late
The move is a process and will take a little time. Thank you
OMG I just love ur lifestyle ❤️ and I absolutely love ur country ❤ keep ur videos coming guys, I love them ❤ thankyou …….. 🇬🇧

Thank you so much!! We love sharing our experiences with everyone.
Loved this one ,even though i think your both crazy lololol but love the vids
Thanks for watching! You're crazy if you don't think we're crazy. 😆 😆 we love a good challenge and anything for our daughter. 🥰
@@bigtruckbigtravels Why am I not surprised? 😁
I am foggy and groggy in the mornings too. Not a morning person never have been.
😆 🤣 that's funny... you're right there with Sondra!
Another great video! FYI, when driving through a National Park this week I looked at my Husband and said "I know why David and Sondra don't have sticks and bricks." What a beautiful country we have! We are closing in on day 130 of our road trip. I don't care if we ever go home.
It’s a beautiful country. We’re so happy you’re out exploring it! 🤠 Hope your trip goes well. Hmmm?!? Maybe fulltime in your future?
@bigtruckbigtravels that's been our goal. So hopefully.
Do you have a link for where you got the smart plug?
This used to be active but it will give you the info.amzn.to/3ZIXEcA
Hello from Louisiana!! 👋👋👋👋 how did you like the bumpy roads ..😆😆😆 did you eat some wonderful Cajun food? ❤❤❤
😆 🤣 going across on 20 is bumpy but not bad. We have a nice ride which helps. Thanks for watching
#BigTruckBigTravels Interstate 40 is closed, #CommercialTrucks are being forced to change their routes maybe reason why the busy #RestAreas?
Ok, that's a real possibility. Maybe a lot of reroutes. Thanks for watching
I saw that Whataburger cup sitting there. 😬
😆 🤣 always...
Thanks for sharing 😊😊😊
My pleasure 😊 Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks
