I am arabic christian orthodox and u can't imagine how much i am proud. We are the real christians who never changed during time and stayed the same way since 2000 years

I was raised Roman Catholic and became an atheist in my teenage years and stopped being one in my mid 20s when I traveled to Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Jericho and Jordan river and discovered the beauty of orthodoxy. I didn’t became faithful to god yet but those beautiful memories kept so long in my heart that now as a almost 27 year old I even started to do Orthodox prayers which helped me controlling my depression and social anxiety. I was feel warmly covered and saved after the prayer and so when I’m entering an Orthodox Church. Ever since I’m looking forward to become a full Orthodox Christian. ☦️ I’m sorry for my way too long comment but I felt a need to share this experience. That's great. Did you become orthodox? I was baptised 7 mths ago. The theology started to unravel in the west tru the centuries..... The teachings on the Trinity especially very different to western teaching.

I definitely agree with you that the liturgical teachings are different and made me finally understand the Bible way better. First time when I have read it, I just thought it was just some ancient violent book, without being clear on that the violence is never advocated and just warns us how we humans are harming ourselves.

Sorry to be sharp but the Orthodox church is Christ, malankara/syriac/copt etc rejected 4+ holy councils, many Saints, many homilies - it isn't the same, may everyone come to join Christ in Truth!

Yeah, I'm in GB too but there are ZERO Orthodox churches near me. The closest one is 20 miles (32.19 kilometers) away and it's impractical for me to travel such a distance due to my current circumstances.

I too am Roman Catholic, and I am strongly attracted to Orthodoxy. I have been to 2 Antiochal Divine Liturgy services in another State, and I was profoundly moved. Now I've discovered that a Serbian Orthodox Church has been established in my home town. I left the Protestant Churches as they moved further and further toward modernism, and now I see the Catholic Church following them. I am meeting with the Orthodox Priest in a week or two, when He returns from a trip.
As a Catholic of the Latin Rite, I admire the wonderful traditions and beauty of the many Orthodox Churches. Your chant tradition is rich and glorious! May we all honour Our Saviour Jesus Christ, the Father in Heaven, and the Holy Spirit now and forever. Peace to all Orthodox people!

Yeah, I'm in GB too but there are ZERO Orthodox churches near me. The closest one is 20 miles (32.19 kilometers) away and it's impractical for me to travel such a distance due to my current circumstances.

I too am Roman Catholic, and I am strongly attracted to Orthodoxy. I have been to 2 Antiochal Divine Liturgy services in another State, and I was profoundly moved. Now I've discovered that a Serbian Orthodox Church has been established in my home town.
I left the Protestant Churches as they moved further and further toward modernism, and now I see the Catholic Church following them. I am meeting with the Orthodox Priest in a week or two, when He returns from a trip.
