Good for you, that is incredible!!! Your comment is inspiring to me because I am so lost in life, always been depressed, anxious and different somehow, just trying to push through life. When I am in a good mood, I think about going back to school for a masters in counseling. I'm hoping a gluten free can give me the mindset to pursue my dreams. Best of luck on your journey.

I went grain free for about 5 days and people started commenting at how dark my hair was getting. Asking if I was dying it. I must have been unable to absorb nutrients which resulted in my hair fading in colour.
My social anxiety also almost completely vanishes. To the point I shock myself at how confident I become talking to anyone. It's like it's not me talking.
Depression goes away after 2 days. To the point I'm insanely happy. I just feel happy to do anything. I just feel like smiling all the time.
Can't wait to do this diet again. Don't know why I stopped. Highly recommend people to try going grain and caffeine free

@@mimi1girl2dempsey3 caffeine for me has many of the same effects as grains. Probably as its also very damaging to the gut. Makes me depressed anxious and angry all at the same time.
When I go grain free and still drinking coffee I don't feel the same benefits.
The more coffee I drink the more bloated my stomach looks. Still have joint pain. No motivation. Feel tired.
Gives me pain in my liver also. I can't honestly think of a benefit of consuming caffeine. Other than it makes people feel good as they're addicted to it or for a quick boost of energy. But energy can't just come from nowhere. Takes a toll on the body. You know something is bad if you get terrible withdrawal effects from eliminating it from your diet.

    • @Abroxus
      @Abroxus ปีที่แล้ว

@@jamietorrance9074 Caffeine doesn't even give you energy, in broad terms, it just blocks the adenosine receptors so that there isn't any adenosine running in your system preventing you from feeling tired. I have to slow myself down all day because I can go off so fast and technical like 1.5 speed on youtube videos. And I can read and remember so much text and science studies and so on. But give me a pizza, 2 beers and 2 ice creams and im gone for like 2-3 days, slow, tired, no body energy, brain slow, like out of body experience. Like talking with customers and having to say like, im having a gluten attack and they mostly know what it is. A quick google and they know im not that crazy because they already know the "super" me. Gluten and lactose seems to be the problem. Just did a bloodtest and 23andme.com DNA to confirm

I didn't test positive for celiac, but my latest blood tests showed me having an allergy to gluten and wheat flour. The odd thing is I took such tests three years ago and didn't show up. It's tough to know what's going on when you have IBS. I haven't had gluten and dairy for about 5 weeks. I have also been drinking celery juice every day for about a month. @@mrcroco5121 I have had ADHD since I was a kid, as well. You should take a multi-faceted approach for your problem. And there's no one size fits all. Most people with ADHD, autism, and other things supposedly have gut issues. You could gradually do many things like intermittent fasting. If you're having trouble sleeping and allergies, then reduce histamine causing foods and liberators. Histamine levels going up can also lead to brain fog. People dealing with histamine issues at least temporarily cut out dairy, gluten, oranges. You have to research and look at your symptoms.

I’m about to give a gluten free diet a try in an attempt to help alleviate a panic disorder that came on out of nowhere about five years ago. I’ve pretty much narrowed it down to gluten being one of the culprits. I eat a lot of Asian food and notice when I consume soy sauce or tofu too much my anxiety is much worse. This video was helpful. I was feeling great for a few weeks after that but reversed to my old depressed and crazy self. I didn't think that wheat was the culprit at the time. Now I'm down to one meal a day and gluten free. I feel great and my weight is under control without much effort. If I cheat, I can't stop eating wheat afterward. I'm like an alcoholic but for wheat. So it's either none at all or abuse.

This is what is so mind boggling to me: I have taken anti-depressants meds for anxiety for over 20 years. They never really worked but I was scared to stop taking them. It took three or four days of not eating gluten and the dark cloud of depression has lifted. I got lazy last week with family in town and "treated myself" to pizza, cake, pasta, bread etc. and my depression came roaring back. Again - three days off gluten and I feel good again. I can't believe I've suffered so long barely able to work, house a mess, relationship issues, and the thing to cure me was not eating wheat. If you're curious I have not given up my anti-depressants yet. Maybe someday soon though. Also, I still eat pizza without eating the crust, and possibly a wheat cracker here and there...I don't treat myself like a Celiac who can't have even a crumb of bread, cake, etc.....but definitely have VERY few wheat-containing products. Side note: Why didn't my psychiatrist recommend gluten-free instead of simply prescribing pills which never seemed to work? I think we all know the answer to that. ($$$$)

@@oneofthosecreativetypes24 I kind of already stopped by the time I saw this video and your post. I was wondering why I hadn’t had a hidradentitis supprativa flare up. (I’m sure I butchered the spelling of that, but it’s close 😂.) I also wondered why I could eat a cup of cooked rice before bed and not sweat in the middle of the night but pasta would have my bed sheets drenched. Just a few changes and I realized what it was. It’s funny that different types of wheat do me differently. Like a tortilla vs a burger bun vs pasta vs fried foods. They all mess me up in different ways. I quit the pasta first because I prefer rice, rice noodles, and glass noodles over wheat pasta. They also made me feel the worse. So I thought. Like you, I had a sort of a relapse 😅 and ate some fried food and my goodness! I realized I had been suffering with IBS for over 3 decades and just got used to the pain. And the thing is, my mother took me to the doctor when I was a child about the HS boils and the IBS issues I was having and they just shrugged me off when they couldn’t figure out anything. I was so used to suffering in not just what I’ve mentioned here, but in other ways too, that I just trudged on. I’ve been trying to heal myself as I’m sure there is just a hamster wheel of sickness, medical bills, and big pharma trying to keep us all depressed and destitute. The peace of mind and clarity that has come with knowing that I don’t have to suffer with HS anymore is beyond refreshing. I’ve never had a real relationship because I was so embarrassed they may think I have an STD. All because of WHEAT! I’m going to cure my gut with fermented foods and hopefully find a husband and have some kids within the next decade.

I think it’s the glyphosate that is the bigger culprit in gluten foods. Whatever it is I started to realize that gluten foods cause irritation, tears and peeling on my lips and I wonder if the same is happening in the intestines. Also makes my skin itch and I get very bloated. Physical symptoms are relatively minor but annoying. Definitely experienced a lifetime of the brain fog and anxiety, as well as joint issues more recently. Tried quitting gluten including all the foods I like for the past 2 years, “relapsing” many times, but I think I can do it this time because now I’m certain of my sensitivity and it’s worth it in the long run. Withdrawals and feeling like angry crap the first few days, mornings are miserable but I think the worst is past me. Fruit and sugar helps, I know sugar is a whole different monster but in the meantime it’s my gluten free crutch, I’ll give up the (refined) sugars next.

Basically, I've had brain fog for 4 years, its ruined my life - cant get a job, forgot all my studies. Its got to the point now, its even effecting my dreams where I cant remember them anymore. I also cant eat dairy or soy, so I'm left with having the same food every day. 5 weeks ive read and the brain fog should start to clear, if Ive not done permanent damage over these 4 years. Thats my real worry, that I've done permanent damage, via brain inflammation, and I will never get a clear head and I will have increased the likelihood of getting dementia about 80% more.

Hey I hope you're doing ok. Can you give me an update on if you're still doing gluten free and how you are feeling if you are.

The brain CAN repair itself! Research Dr. Amen's work. He does brain scans and always reiterates that it is not too late to get a healthy brain. I hope you are feeling better now!

I just want my joints to endlessly stop hurting, I can't even comfortably exercise, never thought celiac/gluten would cause joint pain.

You are absolutely correct about the damaging effects of glutens in wheat, rye, & barley. I wished I knew about this years ago.

I’m looking for inspo to go GF again for good.
Gluten is hidden in so many things.
I ate a jimmy johns unwhich yesterday and legit could barely walk...and that was with NO BREAD! The meats and cheese all have gluten 😫
I have inflammes brain so badly. If I eat gluten I have horrible anxiety& depression.

The reason I googled the subject and found this video is because, for about a week or two - I have been fasting a bit and cutting out bread, only for weight loss. I also have been waiting to get medication for my dyspraxia - which has symptons such as not able to focus, wandering mind etc. I have never even read a book from start to finish. Today I was trying to study something and I was reading, usually something would distract me ... but I was able to read and focus better than I have in years. I was wondering wtf was happening, so thought could it be the fact I have not been eating bread or gluten? Anyways.. I still have some weeks to go.. but if its true, I am never going back

i have been gluten free for last 3 days and from 2nd day onwards i'm feeling alot calm, its a big deal for me because i do have GAD! don't know whether this is some kind of placebo or not!

    • @oldman6489

No is not, yesterday I was on my second day too and I felt calm and willing to enjoy life, then I took the protein powder ( with gluten, that I didn’t know it and I felt so bad few minutes later as he explain on 08:22) . So from yesterday’s when I took this powder protein till now it’s passed 24h and again feel much better, calm and positive, so yeah it’s not a placebo, gluten simply block l tryptophan that is important to generate serotonin. Gluten free and happy live peopleeee

I'm beginning to think that gluten is not for human consumption at all.... I'm 40 and I went gluten free begining of 2022 and I've been suicidal and in pain for as long as I can remember... since I stopped gluten my depression seems to be getring better I however now know that if I even attempt to eat something or not being careful, then the following days the cloud is back and my headaches chronic sneezing and the sh1ts 💩 is back

What you should absolutely do is go to Aldi and buy 100% grass fed ground beef. Only eat that for three days with salt then after that only add one food back every 24 hours. You'll be shocked what you are reacting to. Probably any food with lectins

Still here! Did 5 weeks strict gluten free. Felt really unwell for most of it. Unfortunately didn't notice any positive effects. Lost a bit of weight maybe but I'm not fat anyway. Still sticking to no bread for now, gluten free pasta etc. Maybe I'll try giving up dairy next and hope that works!

Was never tested for celiac but did an experiment / a few actually / cause being gluten free can be a pain and I never really had the digestive issues
But - in my case manifests as weak muscle tone / I can literally feel the muscles in my face droop and I have a sort of hypothyroid face that appears swollen and droopy
My hair thins / I leave hair everywhere and am pulling strands of it out of my vacuum cleaner
I am very headachy and just feel I can’t comprehend info fast enough or think fast enough
And my hormones are off also
Now when I go off gluten - within several days my face looks different, my eyes clear, my hair stops shedding, I can think more clearly and faster, I am less weepy and sad and my periods come like clockwork
Now - if I could just stick w remaining gluten free
But have just begun again and already feel as if the fog is lifting again
May only be the placebo effect as it’s only been 24 hours really but I do feel much more rational in thought than I did yesterday and just overall calmer not having consumed any gluten in the last 24 hours
Will need to just stick with it
But to anyone who doesn’t have digestive probs but a whole host of other symptoms that just don’t seem to go away - just give it a go for a few weeks and see if you feel differently
