I think that tesuji / sequence you referred to in that corner with the double throw-in is called the tombstone tesuji in English (which I think is just a translation of the Japanese term for it).

Yep, I've always heard it called tombstone as well, which is funny because it's where stones die

I learned this as the two stone corner squeeze (and the side one as the two stone edge squeeze). The Japanese for these is 石塔シボリ (sekitou shibori) which is "(the) pagoda squeeze" or "Stone tower squeeze" 石 = stone 塔 = tower). People nowadays often call this the tombstone squeeze, but I have never got used to that name... You may recognize the kanji 石 as "ishi" meaning stone (remember the Ishi Press?); kanji can have different readings in different words...

Hi Ryan, fun games. Big headed ghost sounds pretty chill. Would be cool if you taught us more Chinese go terminology, including the mandarin pronunciation.

17:45 I think the black group can die. There's a false eye at K11, a false eye at L14, and you can make a third false eye at E15 by replying to E14 with F14. The tail at K9 can't make another eye, and the tail at E18 can maybe make one eye near H15? After the dragon squirms for a bit, you can just start eating it from K9 up.
Am I missing a way for that group to get two real eyes?

After F14, if black can play M12 AND find time to make another eye at the top, it can live?

@@riveradam Black doesn't need to play M12, K12 is already an eye.
I think after W at F14, B can try to get G14/G15 in sente by threatening to capture F14, then H17 makes an eye
I haven't read this out, but B might even be able to cut at F13 directly to capture F14. W has to be careful about pushing to the right because of the cut at H12.

29:40 We call that a "tombstone" shape because it looks like this: st4.depositphotos.com/1320280/20448/i/450/depositphotos_204484856-stock-photo-japanese-grave-isolated-white-background.jpg
