Could you do a vid going in to depth of what a good facing curve is and what the numbers mean, what we should look for, what work with which tip opening? Find this stuff fascinating
So I just refaced and fixed the baffle in one of my mouthpieces and it plays really well now--which was cool/lucky because it was my first time doing either thing. Is there anything I should watch in particular to get better at it. (Bought the Theo Wanne kit with the extra gauges)
Hi! That's great! I'm glad it came out well for you. In my opinion, the best thing to do is to measure every piece you can get your hands on for a few minutes and then play them. There is more to this than just the facing curves of course but that work is foundational to becoming a good refacer.
We need more video's, this level of crafmenship is amazing to watch
Thank you. I might get into it again and make more videos.
Thanks so much for explaining what’s going on with the baffle. I did it the same but never was sure if i’m doing it the right way. Now i know)!
Yes, it's interesting how much difference it makes. Thanks for watching!
Great video man. Look forward to the followup.
Great vid!
Thank you!
I am sure that thing is going to come out amazing. Stephan does killer work. He made my ToneMaster sing.
Stephan can you post an after playing test?
Hi Robert! Thanks, man! It did come out really nice ;-)

Hi Neil, I probably will. I just have to plan it out a little first.

I have a piece like that .plays awful.
It's probably not set up accurately. Have you had anyone measure it?
Great video. I learned so much of what you do takes math 🧮 + lots of smarts. 🐥👏🏽🐥👏🏽
Thanks, Nando! I would never had thought that when I was a kid in school :-/
