I attended Tammy Faye's opening night and loved it. It was fun, funny, and full of joy, and Katie Brayben gave a tour de force performance. I got chills.
Thanks for making these videos!! This'll be a great way for me to keep up with the season from abroad and plan future Broadway trips! I saw Tammy Faye in London and definitely enjoyed it, it was a lot of fun. I would be curious to try to catch it again next time I'm in NYC (though that probably won't be until the spring) to see how it's developed. Was sad about Andrew Rannells dropping out as he was fantastic and I'm a big fan, but I'd be excited to see Christian Borle's version of it too. Also Michael Cerveris is definitely great casting for that role - Zubin Varla who played it in London also was London's Bruce Bechdel lol The Devil Wears Prada hasn't quite opened in London yet, I'll be at the first performance on Thursday!
I am a boomer who remembered watching just a few moments of the PTL club every time I channel surfed in the 80s. I ought to be able to separate music from the content (really that sounds stupid as I was writing it) but I can only remember how loathsome the pair were--Maybe if the music were somber, operatic and tortured---not the hits that fill B'way seats. It reminds me I need to watch some more Righteous Gemstones.
Thanks. Haven’t been to the Palace. How is the rake in the theater? Is the seating more comfortable than in most theaters? Is there legroom? Seeing Tammy Faye next month.
@@yankee04 I found the seats nice! Not Hudson theater nice :) but still nice! The rake in the seating? I had incredible orchestra seats (very lucky!) so can't speak too much to the mezz experience
Saw it on first night previews in NYC. Didn’t love. Okay for out of town but Broadway deserves better. That said, Kate Brayben is a force of nature and carries the show. Her performance is outstanding. It’s just not a good show.
Saw it last night. We left at intermission. It was dreadful. I'm not sure how this made it to Broadway in that condition The British team behind this really misfired and failed to read the room.

Saw the show in London, coming to NYC to see it in November. Katie Brayben was amazing!!!

I’m seeing it on MONDAY!!
I want to see it, but my next NYC trip won't be until March. I hope that it makes it that long 🤞🏾.
The show was fun. I liked it, didn’t love it and yes, Katie was stellar!

I sat in the balcony tonight at the first preview, I was in row D, if someone leans forward or is tall your view will be blocked.
I heard it was good but never saw it or know much about it - maybe they should have gone straight to film?
@@andrewstorm8240 ditto! So curious to see it!

I have heard nothing but raves for her.
It’s. Closing!!!!
