I really appreciate your approach. Simple, yet very useful. I did construction and operated everything except the motor grader. I have great respect for grader operators.
Thanks guys , I'm coming off a Gallion ,and a Champion , gonna hop in an M series soon , now I'm excited looks bad ass bro , I'll name this video M series for dummies thanks guys keep up the good work!
Fabulous idea gentlemen. Thanks. I needed a basic overview. Seems damn complicated because there’s so many positions. But I hear everyone say “time in the seat” teaches you. I’m about to dress roads on a 4000 acre ranch and I will have nobody pushing me to hurry up so I’ll just go slow and keep learning. One good thing going for me is I have plowed a ton of snow in my time and I always know how to move snow windrows so I hope I can get the hang of dirt! At least the dirt I’ll be moving is loose and bone dry and also flat terrain.
I knew an old grader operator who came from Northern Ontario, Canada. He said that one winter many years ago he was plowing the city streets with the grader at -40 below and caught the corner of his blade on a manhole frame and the entire blade shattered like a windshield because the metal was so cold! Old Mel almost went through the steering wheel and the windshield too!
@@WrightsOrganic yes we will definitely be doing trenching videos! Along with a ton more equipment. If you have anything specific you want to see just let us know here and we’ll post a video on it. Check out our channel as well to see some more equipment videos. Thanks for watching!
@@BuildinginLasVegas Right on! I would like to see a skip loader, with a Gannon box. Maybe with some grading techniques and how to grade with them? Thanks!
I'm glad you guys are making videos like these... but you should let your gauges light up and all your computer systems ready up first, before you just crank the motor up like that.
I operated graders for years (12, 16g,16H, 24H and a couple Komatsu's). These new ones would mess me right up, I think it may take a while to unlearn what I am used to before I got the hang of the joysticks.
@@BuildinginLasVegas I doubt I will ever run one, I retired 3 years ago. We had a few M models before I retired but I never operated one of them before I left.
I’m 23 years old I’m an operator for excavation machines. I been pretty much and all of them expect for this one. honestly now I know why they would tell me the motor blade was the hardest machine to operate to many controls haha but I’m start messing with it so I can learn the machine.
Great to hear. Keep at it and don’t rush anything it will come with time. Don’t be embarrassed to mess up or that you lack knowledge, keep a growth mindset and you’ll be one of the baddest MF operators.
Thanks for watching little buddy. Sounds like you have had your ass chewed for letting dirt boil over the blade! Not a bad point to bring up, however in no way is the example you see in the video bad for the blade. Pay attention to how he’s positioned.
O ok 10-4 and yes first starting out many ass chewing back when a Forman could chew your ass with out fear of hurt feeling lol I love your videos I been operating for 26 years you can always learn something new keep it up
What the hell was wrong with the levers Cat had for years. I guess with all the auto grading they have now you just put a dummy in the seat to drive it. I cut my teeth on knuckle busters
That is inaccurate. If the weather was cold you could turn and wait for the glow plugs to warm, however we are in the desert. Also you would be hard pressed to find a operator that takes the time to do that every time he fires up the machine, its pointless mid day in the heat! All that aside thank you for watching and keep gaining that KNAWledge

When you said gon will hand me the camera I thought you said mum will hand me the camera
hello guys
Can you find a work in Saudi Arabia?
Nice presentation from you and your boyfriend lol
“We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.” -Anais Nin thank you for checking out our channel!
Actually pretty shitty presentation from, him and his boyfriend
It turns the table not the blade
Its an inching pedal not a clutch
Do you you give jobs at like in grading because I'm talking to you I'm an operator that needs a job ok
Nice training but I am a Grader operator am looking for a job please
where are you located?
You tilt the wheels not the tires
I hate joystick. Ever run a 12 e or f? Gears, baby!
Oldest blade I’ve operated was a 16 G And I loved it ..
I thought yiu said mum gonna hand me the camera

Swing that saddle and clean that blade off side shift with that much dirt on top is not good

Is that possible even with those GPS riser thingys on the moldboard?
Sounds like it needs grease
We could use a grease monkey

First thing you did wrong was starting the machine. You should turn the key to run position let the Guages cycle turn start the machine
