Ratling guns are great against charging infantry good against charging cavalry and terrible against any kind of ranged fire doubly so if it's armor piercing
"Work perfectly as rat hewer as well". Well, they had to call them "something-Hewer" anyway, so might as well take randomly one of their main enemies. Honestly they could be called "whatever"-hewers, since they absolutely destroy anything as they should. Though not that they are much-much-much better against single entities since infantry models will probably die too quick (so much overkill) and they are anti-large anyway. These beautiful slayer babies can mow down a Rogue Idol in less time one need to say "WAAAA--argl"!
The Goblin Hewer has the same missile damage as Dwarf Rangers with Great Weapon, except it also has a bonus against large of +10. Each Hewer model throws 38 axes per volley, so 1 volley from a single unit of Goblin Hewer is like having almost 2 units of Rangers with Great Weapon throwing their axes at the same time, against large units, it's like having 2.5 units of Rangers with Great Weapon throwing their axes at the same time.
The goblin hewers are one of these units that massively improve with the correct support. Give them a line of infantry to block the enemy and they will melt every large single entity in seconds.
@@QualityGames-ql1jc You are welcome. I kind of find it funny how fast they are though. I've once seen a doomstack that boosted their speed to a level of slow skirmish cav.
When you realize that goblin hewers aren't artillery, but instead slayers with thrown weapons. Alot of thrown weapons going very fast. They even have the same anti large priority role.
@QualityGames-ql1jc yes that makes sense for Slayer but the biggest advantage is that she can move her artillery at marching speed to bridge her short range. THAT combined with the unbreakable is just brutal
ngl the goblin hewers had me in disbelief against ralting guns and warp lightning cannons.

@lucasbeck1391 my gut feeling was that the gunners would get several hewers down on the first salvo, then the rest and most slayers on salvo two.
@@Saltharion ratling guns are just hilariously inaccurate
@@lucasbeck1391 Not really, it's specifically extremely inaccurate against the Dwarves. Because they are too short.
Yea, they do quite impressively. Too bad (or perhaps rather balanced) that they have relatively little ammo :) Thanks for the comment.
"We-we made it to the pathetic crew-things. Time to kill-kill!" A rat mere moments before having its head cloven in two.
Yea, I guess one could read that last thought from the halves of the head :) Thanks for the comment.

Thanks for the comment. Yea, I guess that watheever-hewer is quite accurate :D

Yea, that is rather impressive dps. The amount of ammo seems to be rather low though :) Thanks for the comment.

I thought for sure ratling guns would destroy the hewers then they would go into melee and end up like the warp lightning cannons
Thanks for the comment. Yea, the Hewers did quite well there :)

Indeed that is even more impressive :) Thanks for the comment.
also because they counted as artilary attacks they have 100% shieldbreaker
Should have done this against Jezzails too!
That will go to the (to-do)book :) Thanks for the comment.
I say it again Slayer OP !
Karak Katrin makes verlinken big fun ......but op-volks make every time fun !!!
Thanks for the comment. Yea, that unbreakable is rather nice :)

umm sir? your menace below?
:D Thanks for the comment.
Wow, that's shocking.
I never liked Goblin Hewers because they were such a short range.
I guess short range for short crew, eh? :D Thanks for the comment.
colour me surprised, but satisfied! Khazuk khazuk khazuk!
Yea, quite impressive :) Thanks for the comment.
