Frank Marino is a master guitarist, probably the most underrated (even unheard of) in history. First album dates back to early 70’s (73 I think), titled Maxoom. A lot of Hendrix influence, especially in his early work, lot’s of blues, lot’s of shredding guitar solos and he had a great voice too.
Saw Frank at a big Day On the Green festival in the Oakland Coliseum. The line up included AC/ DC, Frank Marino and Mahagony Rush, Aerosmith and Ted Nugent. Frank Marino chewed them all up and spit them out that day. He should have been the headliner.
There is a line in the song Crossroads, in which he covers, the line says ... "Nobody seemed to know me, and everybody passed me by." Makes me wonder if that's why he covers it.
The live version of this on Double-live is the Best version of it IMO. That being said, you should check out "Ain't Dead yet" It is raw skills of unbelievable guitar and singing. 10+
He man that secondary sound is no a synth its a guitar the rythm guitar is plucking 3 high strings to cause that with a slight slide and alternating fingers. Fellow Cauck here later enjoy ...he Frank is rated top 5 for me
Frank is a guitar player's guitar player, a great humanitarian, a great songwriter, singer, and producer. His body of work is astonishingly good. Canadian to boot. Frank is Mahogany Rush.

Check out Frank Marino "Poppy" off the Double Live album, if you think Strange Dreams is sick, which it is,,then you are going to really dig Poppy, it'll either make you put your guitar down, or pick it up trust me I did both you'll love it
Yeah I don't think that will be done I can play a couple Frank songs but not Poppy... I think some songs are just better left alone sit back and enjoy I turned my mother onto Frank Marino recently ....she just turned 81 her two favorite guitar players are Stevie Ray Vaughan and Frank Marino

He didn’t have ‘Hendrix influence’ …He and Hendrix just happened to come up with similar vibe around the similar time
