    Agreed, Flores just might be the long time coach we, as fans, always wanted. The bonus is....HE WILL ALREADY KNOW HOW TO CLOCK MANAGE unlike all the coaches the Jets have had for the past decade plus.

      As a bills fan(yes what am I doing here u wonder? I like this guy lol even tho he hates my team), but Flores in Miami knew how to shut down Allen. Only problem was he'd do it for a half and then switch it up thinking the Bills would adjust but then it would backfire. He's a really good defensive mind. And that defense didn't have players like the jets do.

      WOODY, HIRE LOUIS RIDDICK & BRIAN FLORES! RIDDICK IS CALLING COLLEGE AND NFL GAMES.
      HE’LL GIVE THE NYJ AN INSTANT COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE IN THE DRAFT AND FREE AGENCY.
      THINK ABOUT IT: HE’S INTERVIEWING PLAYERS AND COACHES IN PRODUCTION MEETINGS.
      THAT MEANS HE HAS DETAILED NOTES ON PLAYERS AND COACHES.
      BRIAN FLORES HOLDS HIS PLAYERS ACCOUNTABLE AND HE’S A TOP DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR.

    Tom Coughlin had some success with the "tough love method"; but he has had the most success after he mellowed and made an effort to be inclusive with his players, and not divided from them

    Jon Gruden was a, QB coach, an offensive coordinator & winning head coach! He won a Super Bowl & built his teams from bad to good! He should the top choice & the only choice for HC!

    You couldn’t be more wrong about Flores, Jake.
    First of all, you play a clip where he can not name one specific change that he has undergone in his entire career. He vaguely mentions that he has learned about “scheduling,” and that he has tweaked some things about his approach.
    Talking about “scheduling” is a big red flag after the Bob Saleh experience. If you remember, after year 1, they asked him what he learned from his first year and he said something like, “nothing about coaching bug I learned about when to schedule practices and media availability”.
    Then when he talks about tweaking things, it’s the kind of answer you give when you can’t think of anything but knowing would look bad if you say “nothing.”
    In life, you learn the most from your own mistakes. But in order to do that, you have to be able to admit you’ve made them.
    Flores talks as if you can only learn from others but then quickly adds that they learn from him too. It’s all knees and elbows with him as shown in his reactions to being fired in Miami and passed over in NY.
    Leadership isn’t about personality. You can be a good leader and be nice. You can be a good leader and be a jerk. It isn’t about hating Miami and it certainly isn’t about being from Brooklyn.
    It’s about pursuing and mastering virtue. Flores shows no leadership qualities at all.
    Give me Glenn. Give me Rex. Give me Gruden. He’ll, give md Nagy. I would rather take a chance on a complete unknown than take a chance on what I know about Flores.

    In my opinion, the Jets best option is not the most likely. We as fans need to stop being so delusional with these takes that somehow we’re gonna nab Pete Carroll as a HC. Not gonna happen when you show your hand and decide to literally interview every single available coach and coordinator. As bad as I want Spags, he ain’t coming here. We’ll most likely do what we usually do, grab an AFC East guy and call it day. But if Brian Flores means we get Josh Mccown, then so be it. I think he’s an incredible QB whisperer type and would be good for a future draft prospect when we get one.

    BTW, better than Flores is easy: Jay Gruden. Want a top 10 offense next year? Hire that guy. And it's not just about wins and losses, Look what he did in 2015 and 16 while working for Dan Snyder and Bruce Allen with two bottom five, bottom ten defenses. He can work with Woody Johnson, knows how to handle the media and as a bonus he's a funny guy with experience and an epressed desire for a second shot. I'm sure he can be indoctrinated into hating the Dolphins just as much as Flores does.

  • @PGHJR002

    He came from Belichick, originally. Jets need Mike Tomlin, not Brian Flores...maybe in a few years after taking over from O'Connell. Flores is still raw in the authority position...stay at a position coach until he can dominate. One year with Tomlin or O'Connell is not enough.

      What are you talking about? You know people bet on games right? Owners determining the results of games beforehand is illegal. Flores was fired for refusing to tank, not for losing the locker room. He was a winning coach.

  • @didgruntleddansnyderfan

    Isn't the job of a head coach to set and then oversee the team culture? To me Flores as a head coach was another misguided asshole attempt at imitating Bellichick's emperor Palpatine routine, which is what you usually get from the coaches he mentored. So you'll get Hitler expect he's dead and so it's Himmler pretending to be Hitler. I just don't see it. Game management and culture. He's not going to be calling plays, right?

  • @frankieg1135
    @frankieg1135 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

    Wrong!
    We need a dictator for the Jets head coaching job.
    Everyone admires the Patriots you know why? They had a dictator for a coach. This new generation of players don't respect authority, that's why we have so many losing teams. They want to run the show. 16 penalties in one games a perfect example of no respect for authority. Bill Parcel was an authoritarian, guess what they listed and won games. I'm tired of coaches wanting to be teammates. You are not teammates you are the Head Coach.

      @@kxr203 the person who made the original comment is one of the worst posters on TH-cam. The record means nothing. Winning games means nothing. The horrible evidence of draft picks, feee agents and coaching hires mean nothing. Everything is smack right in ones face to decipher all this information and fans of this team preached about Zach Wilson, Saleh and Douglas. Incredible.

    • @thewho2482
      @thewho2482 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @RealisticJetsFan wow, someone moves up from a twin size bed to a full-size bed, and they think they know all. Most of the league and experts had zack being picked at number 2. Most of the qbs after the draft have washed out. Douglas hit on a lot of our first round talent. Saleh defense was legit. Jets really needed a qb. That it. If you didn't live in Grandma's basement and got out once in a while. Maybe you could actually think for yourself.
