Although we officially led the final wave of the Miami Marathon, there were a few runners who did manage to cross the finish line behind us. Whether you finished with the first pace group, or us, we are all finishers! Let us know if you are one of the unstoppable runners who finished after our 07:07:04 time.
Thank you so much for this video, John and Mauricio, that helped me alot. I'm running the London Marathon on April 21st and have registered with a target time of 7:00 hours because I had health problems during the preparation and couldn't train the way I wanted. Seeing you in this video, with what ease and joy you completed the Miami Marathon in 7:00 hours, helped me a lot. Thank you very much for that. The weather in London probably won't be as sunny as in Miami. ;-) Many greetings from Germany, Uwe
(John) Uwe, we really appreciate your kind words and knew there would be someone out there that could benefit. It’s not all about speed. Everyone has their own story and we’re hopeful in your recovery. The journey is much more fun with friendship, so we are here for you. I might be in Hamburg in May! Maybe we can do a run/walk together as long as you guide me back to the hotel 😂
Hamburg is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, but a bit far away from me. If my health cooperates (I'm no longer the youngest 😄), I might take part in the IRONMAN 70.3 Florida in December.
@@upado10 I’ve been to Altona many times! No worries at all. Ohhh the 70.3 near Orlando is on my list. Once I see how my spirits are after Lake Placid, perhaps I’ll consider joining you in December, this is just a 2 hour drive for me.
@@trueobeast Hello John, Hamburg is too far from where I live, but maybe we'll see each other in Florida? I will be booking a flight, a rental car and a vacation rental in Haines City in the next few days and have already registered for the IRONMAN 70.3 Florida. If you decide to attend after Lace Placid (which earns you both my utmost respect), I would be happy to meet you both in person. Looking at your past times, we would probably finish almost at the same time and hopefully have a lot of fun. Many greetings from Troisdorf, Germany, Uwe
