This actually works. Bought everything from their site. My advice is that the LCD doesn't come off as easy as shown, so watch out for that. Used a space heater to heat the phone instead of a hair dryer. Definitely use tools instead of your fingers for the battery adhesive. Thank you Wit Rigs
Don't remove front facing camera if you need to change lcd screen! flex cable of front facing camera is very thin and very well glued to the frame. So its hard to remove it. You can change screen without removing it. Also check new Lcd screen before removing old one.
OK, I just did this successfully and thought I'd leave some notes. 1. I didn't have a heat gun so I used an iron over a towel with the phone underneath. It worked well, I could direct the heat to a specific part and tried not to let it get too hot. 2. Definitely do the wrap method for the battery. I did fingers and it broke off meaning I left too much adhesive in there and it was a pain to get off without damaging it. 3. Getting the front camera off was a pain, the glue was to strong that the thing tore apart and broke. I should've chipped at the bottom instead of trying to pull it. In general, try that with all the components, especially the USB part. The front camera was the only part that broke :( . 4. I couldn't get the front screen off no matter what. There are holes where the battery originally is - I pushed a screwdriver through these holes to push the screen off, I damaged it but it was completely broken anyway. 5. There's little plastic tabs holding the motherboard down, make sure the motherboard is pushed past these and everything is secure (originally my SIM didn't work but I changed this and it fixed it). I feel like this could be done with less steps but I couldn't say exactly and it worked out in the end. Best of luck!
I broke the camera too, same reason. I don't think any other way to avoid breaking it. But I have seen other videos and they don't remove it and neither remove the loudscreen and honestly I don't see why this video removes them. I am disappointed

Not everybody can buy B-7000 glue ( first time i see it by the way )same day or night. The first time i do this and is so easy. I was a little scared when screen wouldn't turn on. I had to press mobo so power button is in contact with mobo while turning on. The edges of Mix 2 screen is too narrow to paste any adhesive. B-7000 is the best choice. And when testing the phone, the motherboard should with the power button flex. Thank you for your informative comment.

The back doesn't look like it is from ceramics . Please advise me if I am wright or not ! Because if I buy it and it is not ceramics and it is plastic just shinny... I will become killer
@@kargarok11 Several minutes. The screen is not as easy to remove if done with a hair dryer, but it is possible. Make sure to put the suction cup on a spot that does not have cracks running under it, as the air in the cracks make it more difficult to pull the screen off.

@@xavalintm you Just have to try a lot, i Had my hot Air on 250° and Heat it for 20min and then i took it apart with a really strong suction cup. With a lot of force! :D

Great tutorial. The problem is that after I've changed the screen the phone doesn't charge but recognizes the headphones when I plug them in. Any suggestions??
@@matheusak I couldn't fix it. Took it to a technician and looks like there's a problem with the main board. I've looked everywhere but no way to source that. Phone is dead

It is ceramic coating with a plastic inner structure so its easier to assemble (or dissasemble) the phone :)
There are versions with plastic and ceramic. Ceramic is more expensive

my Mi MIX 2, after the LCD changing, is not charging the baterry. Anyone knows why ?
