I don’t remember agreeing to any liberty stealing laws in exchange for some temporary safety, and yet it happens anyway. Sad part is they don’t just give it back freely. Americans need to get out of their comfort zones and stand up for their liberties, or they will just keep taking them. Easier said than done in a country divided. It seems their plan is working.
Just try to hire a housekeeper/nanny/childcarer to see the cost of childcare. It's the reason women leave work to have children or just end up not having them or end up living in poverty - we cannot afford to pay for childcare out of our worker wages. The state school system is simply a badly-provisioned, awkward, inadequate free daycare system for working mothers. Any actual learning that goes on in school is incidental. Btw, I am both a mother and a worker (in the state school system). Men's wages are also inadequate to be the wage-earner of a household, so men have not been 'menning' for decades now. It's a lose/lose situation.
You say men haven’t been “menning” for several decades now. You do realise that women joining the workforce doubled the supply of labour and hence slashed the cost of that labour.

I agree to a certain extent. Family and neighbours are often far more important than politicians. But it’s ludicrous to suggest that one NEVER needs a politician.
A comedian made a poor joke at the RNC and people go nuts while a few years back a so-called comedian held a (model) bloody severed head of the President by the hair and the MSM displayed zero outrage. It's surreal that this is the water we're swimming in...
See this is the problem. You are in a media bubble that keeps you from seeing that Kathy Griffin was demonized for the photo. If you look up "Fox news Kathy Griffin" you will see this. If you don't consider Fox msm then you are lost. Why defend either political side? What makes so called "independent media" any more reliable that MSM?
Not a fan and definitely not defending her, but to be fair that was not at an event opening for the presidential candidate and she did actually get what most people would call cancelled losing basically all of her income sources and shelling out a lot of money in court costs, not to mention she was investigated by the Department of Justice. It was a huge story. Tony is fine. He like most “canceled” comedians if anything end up better off, and use or even play up the purported outrage they faced.

This is why I am so proud of my views and the family I have created. We are non government. We listen to the news, sure but we do not vote or interact. Period. We live unworried. We do not talk about governments or politics or economics. We don't block it out but it doesn't bother us. Why let it. We grow our own food, pay our bills and live. Other people do not interfere with our lives. We are happy and healthy and comfortable. If war were to ensue, as it has in history, and come to our doorstep, we'll protect our family. Otherwise, why worry?
How on earth was this episode recorded before the election and we’re just now seeing it? Also… Duncan is a goddamn treasure, and must be protected at all cost.
Memo to Duncan: communist dictatorships DID take the kids away from their families. It happened in East Germany. Google "The Purple Witch" and see what you find. Hell, Michael Malice wrote all about it in his book "The White Pill."
Taking the children outright was done but not at a large scale. The GDR did require women to work pretty quickly and handing the children over to the state daycare, school etc. to raise and indoctrinate. There are still lots of women in Germany who praise this system. It’s all about breaking bonds between people.
It's happening right now with trans. Look up AFFIRM units, look up M.C. and J.C. v. Indiana Department of Child Services, although there are many more examples

@@E_Clampus_Vitus Accurate. We haven't lived in a capitalist system for well over a century. The kid-daycare Business/Industrial Complex has unfortunately been made an almost (deliberate) essential for so many families nowadays. I used to hate picking up my nephews from their daycare facilities when the places always felt like deliberately cold, cynical (and then creepy) bureaucratic, bare-minimum businesses, almost like they were MADE to turn the kids into institutionalised cogs early (like school often does later.....or like state run communism supposed 'care' does deliberately). I went to kindergarten when I was a kid and it was just an early preparation for school a year before, mostly run by nice/genuine volunteer mums to simply socialise and prepare kids rather than institutionalise them into easily dehumanised and self-fulfilling cog-in-the-machine cynicism .....and then an acceptance/normalisation of it.
Does anyone else feel like all of this is a no duh kind of thing? I've been thinking about this stuff for decades and I cannot express how happy it makes me that these kind of ideas are finally becoming more mainstream ❤

This should be obvious. Welcome to Capitalism. Democracy (people first) and Capitalism (Money/Capital first) has never worked together and never will. They are the antithesis of each other.
You guys talking with Duncan is a refreshing change from Rogan. Rogan is great but you guys were much better at allowing Duncan to stear the conversation without intruding on his thoughts. Great interview. Really great. Should have allowed much more time, but either way awesome job.
Joe (Rogan) and Duncan's podcasts together are some of the most wholesome, chaotic madness i've ever had the pleasure of listening to. Top choice of guests, lads.
Rogan? Seriously? He platforms crackpots.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety” is a quote by Benjamin Franklin
You get as much freedom as you fight for. It’s not given.

It's really hard to deny what he said about so many people saying the exact same thing and propaganda when people in the UK and Australia are holding blm protests with identical chants, signs, and talking points but aimed at their own country as if it's the same thing, and anti Trump protests with identical chants and signs.
What? You wish the protests were disorganized? That'd make them easier to ignore wouldn't it?
Yeah it's kinda messed up, that really threw me over here
@@johnathandoe6034 Yeah but what the fuck does BLM and anti-Trump rallies have to do with countries outside of America? Why is American politics and American affairs taking priority over these country's own priorities? That's like Americans holding rallies against the emperor of Japan.
@@johnathandoe6034 it shows how inorganic they all are, every single time everywhere they have well made signs within a day and all say the same things
@johnathandoe6034 are you under the impression that's what he said?
The state has gradually driven a wedge between the family and friends and made us become more physically and emotionally dependent on them.
In America, the state wants welfare mothers. The state loves mothers, they just don’t value them outside of slave makers.
Duncan was very eloquent in this episode. I feel like he got alot off of his chest. He makes living in this time period alot better. Happy New Year everyone!

takehome, never let politics determine relationships with friends and family,
because ALL poiticians want, including your chosen hero, is your vote and your obedience to their cause.

Wasn’t even the RNC
Not a fan and definitely not defending her, but to be fair that was not at an event opening for the presidential candidate and she did actually get what most people would call cancelled losing basically all of her income sources and shelling out a lot of money in court costs, not to mention she was investigated by the Department of Justice. It was a huge story. Tony is fine. He like most “canceled” comedians if anything end up better off, and use or even play up the purported outrage they faced.
@@shaneemmons9508 True enough - but the faux outrage at a poor joke vs no media outrage over miming a beheading of a President is where I was going. That's just one of many media double standards over the last few decades.
Bad take pal, keep swimming.

You do have to get over it and get on with life. I had a similar situation with my Dad, a bitter alcoholic who didn't like anyone including himself. I got over it - he is not me and you are not your mother.

Happening right now. Feminist mother lies to cops and they lose their dad
Just Googled "The Purple Witch". Thanks for that.
And now Google " what is a woman"

@@E_Clampus_Vitus Accurate. We haven't lived in a capitalist system for well over a century. Capitalism is meritocratic: it rewards good ideas and good practices, and it utilises fair and healthy competition as a means of determining which is which. But governments put in protections, restrictions and regulations which deliberately undermine competition and remove merit in favour of promoting and protecting their favourite oligarchs.

The vast majority of humans that have ever lived had no career, no money, no toys, most of this stuff has only existed for a blink. Why any of it would have anything to do with human fulfillment or satisfaction is beyond me. Relationships and experiences are all that truly matter. No one is on their deathbed thinking about their Rolex or their mansion, because by that point they've usually realized that shit just doesnt matter.
...generally, most people on their death bed are in a hospital and have had their possessions locked away or stolen by cleaners and nurses, etc...
Uh...most of those humans you're speaking of spent all their time struggling to feed themselves and their family. Not to mention themselves or their family succumbing to the simplest of diseases. We live in the best time in human history right in this very moment.
