Sage advice Robert. Start with the basics and only change one thing at a time to establish the relationship of what changes and how it is affected. Changing more than one thing will almost certainly get you confused and make a mistake. Much better to go slow and gain a full understanding of how and why than to get lost and confused.

We come from very different professions, and you've got some time on me, but boy do we think similarly. Most of my experiments are related to growing and building (which is how I found you). Been looking for ways to turn anything I'm throwing away into compost or fertilizer, and found some inventors with an expensive, complicated way to turn urine from public bathrooms into fertilizer. After some trial and error, I'm working out a way that's slower, but might be better on a small scale.

I always loved BAttlefield Earth starring John Travolta. IT ws such a funny space-satire. Yet so many software developers do not understand this nowadays. Why are so any big IT projects (governmental and others) failing or having major problems? Complexity. Taking off the shelve libraries and throwing them all in the mixer and glue them together with some configuration might be easy and fast, but results in a complex conglomerate that none of the developers still understands ... Simplicity is not the same as "fast to slap together" ...
