- Titanfall 3 is Actually Happening...Titanfall 3 was supposed to be the next big thing in the FPS genre. But the game has been in development hell for years and it doesn't seem like it will ever come to fruition. But that doesn't mean that the Titanfall franchise isn't still worth your time and attention. The only reason a lot of people stopped playing was because of that whole situation with the guy making Titan fall unplayable for so long

If Titanfall 3 does come out, I think the story will focus on Blisk due to him eventually creating the Apex Games. Blisk was found in the Apex Legends game code and was originally supposed to be a legend! However, Blisk was taken out of Apex's game files which many speculate that he's getting his own game! Sadly we probably won't see BT again!
Blisk is too big of a character to have become a legend, its like them adding cooper, and as much as id love to see BT i think they should keep him gone as itll ruin the feels for the end of tf2
The TF games focused on a massive war between the frontier and core world corporations. Grounded story that was gritty and good. Felt like an actual war. Who tf would want to follow Blisk making the Apex games. The Apex addition to the universe is just cringe.

i would really like to see some dog fighting in the story, maybe just a bit not much, or even dogfights with titans for titanfall 3

I mean at the back of our minds, yeah it's entirely possible, even Mokey and Macro pretty much admit inhaling hopium on this prospect plus Respawn is silent about it (well there is one dev's semi cryptic tweet but could be a red herring).
Can't blame people still hoping though. Plus this is a little more effort out of Respawn than what one would expect if this does devolve into Titanfall themed cosmetics event only. They don't need to fix some OOB areas for a game they long abandoned.
0:55 Just to give a little bit more context - EA was open to moving Titanfall 2's release to a later date but Respawn themselves insisted on it. I don't like EA as much as the next guy but they aren't 100% to blame with fumbling the bag on that one. Same thing happened with Jedi Survivor so there's a precedent.
Even if it would take until 2026 I would happily wait to get titanfall 3 :)

Would be awesome for sure as it will stand out amidst Unreal's dominance in AAA gaming. I don't think it's likely as they have devs used to Unreal at this point given the Star Wars games, even if they are supposedly a different part of Respawn than the group handling Apex/Titanfall they could be pooling knowledge towards Unreal, but still.
that would make titanfall 3 the second game that used number 3 on source engine.

Something to note, there's a new unlisted video added to Titianfall 2's playlist when they started to update it. Along with construction worker Nessie's being added in TF2
and resurrection is being referred to BT's resurrection since he sent a morse code at the end of Titanfall 2 campaign.

I think whenever titanfall 3 is in development, apex will heavily try to be more pilot related
I saw another vid with more details. The new game mode (???) has a description to the movie 300. The 300th day of the year is TF|2's anniversary. Three videos have recently been added to the official Titanfall TH-cam channel (they are unlisted). The release dates of all three current games in the Apex patch notes is odd if all they were going to point at was TF|2 rather than an extension to the series. That is three threes right there. 300, 3 vids, 3 release dates. I don't know how many map fixes they made. Lots of threes here.
In terms of potential release dates:
The team at respawn that would be working on the new game would be three times what it was before,
They had 10 months in,
and they have already made Titanfall twice.
They have more experience, work in, and resources than ever before. If Titanfall was announced next month, I would expect a release in 2024.
I hope they ground it with the feelings that made the first game feel special with the improvements of the second game. Fix the customization and makes titans feel good again.

Optimistically, it does look like TF3 is in the works, but I’m always very weary with “this season is named this so it must mean that” cause I feel it’s a very tinfoil hat stretch. Still, I’m very hopeful for TF3 but keeping it in check in case it’s something else

It leaked back a year ago that it was in development and considering they turned the titanfall 3 project into what became as apex its always has been likely for them to continue this series

Old gen? The “new” gen has been out for years. If they’re just recently developing the game, they’d have to hold back a ton of hardware. The game isn’t likely to be shipped out in some time and to expect there to still be support for an old system by this point just isn’t reasonable.

I think for now they are probably doing a relaunch/remaster of tf1/2 maybe calling it Titanfall universe for October and will probably be free to play. Then if they see there's enough people engaged on that they will release tf3 next year

idk if that would be the play seeing as they already started updating TF2 currently and the playerbase has seen 10-20k returning players recently. a remaster would be a waste of money it wont be hard to transition the ppl who already play apex by getting more engagement with the supposed new map that will be based on District(hopefully)

Battlefront 2 isn’t completely dead there are loads of people like titanfall who played and are new to the game. EA either needs to make a new titanfall and battlefront or update the games again

my hope is that they are using titanfall 2 as the marketing AND hype. If so, they might be planning on revealing and releasing on the same day. They clearly have been planning SOMETHING for a very long time
i dont think that will be the case. It would be way too late to announce tf3 in late 2024 or early 2025 since i doubt the hype will last for over a year

part of EA letting them do this is probably because of the success of apex, EA likely realizes at this point that advertisement would laterally just be them going to apex and saying "hey guys we made this!"

Titanfall 2 was a steo back from titanfall 1 the maps were so god damn small and much less titan customization, you cant rodeo the same and shoot the brains out. Hopefully tf3 goes back to its roots
