Madeira Carnaval, New year fireworks (also in June), street illuminations, the flower festival, the 'Arraiais' in the Summer, Porto Santo (the small sandy paradise island next door), and so so so much more!

Guys.. I think you've exid yourselves this time... as a portuguese I have to thank you for showing me places that I thought existed but had never seen. I've been to Madeira and Porto Santo several times, but I never imagined such a beautiful place.....

I was born in Madeira island but lived in the beautiful tiny sandy island next to Madeira. They call it the Golden Island 💛🧡 Porto Santo. Madeira is BEAUTIFUL, I was born there my brothers and sisters also, my dad is Portuguese from Madeira my mother is half Madeiran and half Spanish from the canary islands where she was born. I go often to Madeira where they live, going in April for Easter and Christmas and new year. Spain I go often to. ( love both countries 💜🇵🇹🇪🇦) Madeira is stunning and the canary islands to but I'm bias Madeira I love 💜💜

Once again what an amazing place. I spent my childhood around that arid literal 5 minute from where you stayed. And I used to go and pick oysters right beneath its called Anjos area.

It was yes. They were so fast. 😅 and we (stupid tourist) didn’t realize that it was a pay zone 🤦🏼♀️😅😅
In Calheta the guy measures the time of each car, spies hidden from far away and runs as fast as he can to put the ticket on the windshield. Kind of pathetic money grabbing scheme.
