I honestly feel terrible for AMG fans like yourself. I grew up wanting a W204 C63 AMG with the big 6.2L V8. Now even the E63 AMG will drop the v8 in favor of a hybrid twin-turbo inline-6. Nothing's inherently wrong with a inline 6 (Mercedes and BMW have a rich history with it) or an inline 4 (e.g. 190E 2.5L), but given AMG has always been associated with big V8s, that's asking too much from long-term customers. They're not gonna sway EV buyers either, since from their point of view, ICE engines of any capacity is detrimental to the environment, so they're gonna stay with what they have (be it Tesla, BYD, Kia etc.). BMW have already seen an influx of former AMG customers for the M3/M4, and it's safe to assume the same thing will happen to the new M5 and upcoming RS7 because at least they kept their V8s.

On stock turbos you can make around 650 maybe 700WHP on E35 , but after that you will need turbo upgrade, cooling, port injection, Transmission rebuild and drivetrain parts replacements. Not cheap, but if you have a vehicle with S58 and you have 50k extra money, 1000 hp is not a problem.
zf8hp has rpm limit on 7th and 8th gear, 1 mile racers usually use only 1-6 so they can rev without limit.. this one seems to rev suprisinly far, usually the rpm limit on 7 and 8 are 5500rpm. maybe its speed limiter delete or something, but its moving to dangerzone. thats why 8hp cars usually take the top speed on 7th with relatively low rpm, or on 6th at redline
I mean, knowing that you should probably break when you see a couple of tail lights ahead when you are going 300km/h + should be common sense and not something that has to be taught

The combination of practicality and performance just has that cool aesthetic for me. Of course that's all very personal!
owned a mint williams 3 many years ago, had a hill power stage 1 kit on it. sounded awesome and went very well. probably the car i regret selling the most. guy i sold it to came up on the train from london (im in edinburgh) and i found out through the williamsclio forum a while later he wrote it off after crashing in a ditch chasing a clio v6 on a sunday run out with some fellow renault owners. was gutted to see the pictures of it. prices of them now is crazy for a minter.

As a F80 owner I still can’t get to grips with the look of this car, but for performance sweet baby Jesus!!! They are bonkers. I still don’t think I could ever bring myself to buying one, maybe the touring but unlikely.

Before going on a full speed 300 kph runs, you must inflate your tyres to the "full performance" pressure, and you won't get the tyre pressure warning. There is a preset for this inside of the tyre settings, which tells you to which pressure you need to inflate the tyres.
