I don't understand why people hate Liz. Sure she's made some mistakes, but so has everyone else on this show. Liz has always been goodhearted. Has she screwed up? Yeah. But the worst things she's ever done was cheat on Lucky with Nicholas, and hid Danny's paternity results bc she didn't want Sam with Jason. But at least her goal in those wasn't to actually hurt anyone, she was just desperate to finally be happy. And unlike most people on this show, when she made those bad decisions, she owned up to it. And not just at the time it happened, but even later on down the road. A lot of these characters like to rewrite their own history when it comes to the bad things they've done. Liz apologizes, tries to atone her actions, and doesn't act like it never happened. I think Liz is one of the most relatable characters on the show. That's why when GH didn't renew her contract, the fans were livid and demanded they bring her back. I don't think that ever happened with another character on the show. So all you Liz haters out there, you have a right to your opinions, but just know, you're favorite character, unless it's Robin, is no better than Liz, and most likely, a lot worse.
People didn't hate Liz until she slept with Jason. Sam fans went into overkill and even harassed Rebecca Herbst. Liz is a great character and could have easily been a leading lady if the writers didn't favor Carly and Sam.
Ahseeuh wow don’t understand about her sleeping with Jason.. she didn’t force him..that was a buildup waiting to happen.. from way before..he loved and desired her before a Sam..Sam was a peice of work.. she was a user .. she was caught or seen in bed with her moms husband.. why !!! she and Jason weren’t married then.. it wasn’t good that they rebounded with each other but it was going to happen eventually...I grew to like Sam somewhat wasn’t a big fan of Elizabeth but Jason clearly loved Elizabeth in a tender way and they had a good foundation which wasn’t just sex.. they had a very relatable relationship or connection..
Elizabeth shows a lot of grace and understanding here. I love how she responded back to Carly, especially after all the hell Carly put her through. Even slapping her in her own home. A lot of grace and compassion.
Carly mercilessly bullied Robin, Liz, Alexis, Sam, Brenda, Kate for years; her reign of terror never ended. They were all real moms (except for Kate/Connie) who did the best they could to keep their kids safe. It's a shame it took Carly's son getting shot for her to finally back down, be humble, apologize... For just a moment then she went right back to judging, slapping, terrorizing, bossing every other woman in P.C. who dared to love any man. Selfish rhymes w/ witch narcissist, it's always about Carly.
100%, and that's only part of the reason she's the most detestable, deplorable, characters in Soaps. She is absolutely THE WORST. And has been since day 1. And always will be.

Carly was selfish, She only thought of herself. She wanted to break up Robin and Jason and she her kid in this situation. If she had thought for a second about Michael she would have raised him in a safer environment. And not taken him away from his real family. She was upset with Liz about keeping Jake away from Jason but Liz thought about her boys ahead if herself. She forfeit her happiness for her kids. A lot of people hates Liz but When it comes right down to it she's a great mother.

Carly wanted to move in with bobbi and raise michael and morgan there when she was pregnant but AJ & Edward were holding her hostage with taking Michael away since they had money and could do it. So no, like Liz said, she made the best choice she could for her kids at the time and Sonny is a hell of a lot better father than AJ was. And Liz is not a saint who always put her boys first.
I really enjoyed this scene for a number of reasons: 1) I like the fact that Carly was able to understand Elizabeth actions or just in general the decision of someone she doesn’t often see eye to eye with. 2) I like the fact that she decided to examine the choices she made and how maybe she should’ve done better by her and her children. 3) I really appreciate Liz for saying to her she made the decision she thought was right at the time. I really wish GH was better about writing female characters and female friendships. Most of the women in PC either can’t stand one another or just tolerate the other. What I liked about it was at first Elizabeth was bracing herself for a Carly attack, but she didn't say anything b/c whatever Carly was going to say to her, she would take it b/c Carly was in pain, so when Carly apologized, it came as a surprise to her.

Because people like Carly and Sam are too selfish and self absorbed to see past their own needs and desires and think about who truly matters. The thing about Liz, is that everyone (Carly, Sam, even courtney) is so quick to judge her for being afraid of Jason's lifestyle/business. And are quick to judge her for her choice/decision to keep Jake's paternity a secret/keep Jake away from Jason due to the danger. And yet, she's actually the smartest one there. Because she's actually thinking ahead and thinking of the what ifs, and the very real possibility of what could happen to her child. Whereas Sam and Carly, they know all the risks Jason's lifestyle entails and convince themselves they're ok with it solely based on the fact that they think Jason will always be there to protect them from it and protect their children from it. They place too much responsibility on Jason and expect him to be able to always be there to protect them and their family, because they see him as invincible. As someone who can't/won't die on them, because he's "Jason Morgan". But the second Jason is in trouble, can't help/hurt to the point where he's almost dead/or (later) presumed dead/missing, all of a sudden Carly and Sam realize just how stupid they were for not putting their children first ahead of their desire and ahead of the danger. They end up realizing that jason isn't invincible and that he's not always there to protect them. And that's when they both go back on everything they ever said and thought about Liz, and then start singing the same tune, about how Jason's life is dangerous and that now all of a sudden, it's too dangerous for them and mostly for their kids.
Carly took it further than that. She not only lied about Michael's paternity, but she also tortured AJ in the process. She tried to get him drunk but when that didn't happen she drugged his orange juice and waited until he past out. She then dumped his body in a laundry cart, rolled into an elevator, then to the ally. She then dumped AJ out onto the ground and poured booze all over him. Then called his parents lying to them, saying AJ started drinking again. None of the women who were trying to hide their baby's paternity went out of their way the way that Carly did. She went above and beyond the norm, and that's only half of what she did to AJ, I didn't even mention what she did to Tony.
