Carly is devastated Jason has lied to her - so she has to believe - Elizabeth manipulated Jason. Jason should have come to Carly and told her exactly what was going on. Because one of the best parts of Carly/Jason relationship is when they talk to each other - they figure their own answers out to their problems. IF Jason had come clean with Carly - he would have had time to process all these decisions with a woman - a mother - his best friend - and she would have been able to get him to see - his plan wasn't going to work. Carly was right - even if it meant she had to accept Elizabeth (and she would have) Jason and Elizabeth should have raised Jake - out in the open - together - even if they broke up down the road - Jake would have known his father - he would have felt the love from Jason and Elizabeth.
Not to mention it’s Jason’s lies that set in motion a turn of events for him that had him distracted, not telling Carly about Michael wanting a gun, he losing her baby with Jax etc (in his actual job as Sonny and Carly’s protectors and enforcer not just as their friend ) and not acting in character and Carly is actually the only person who would have gotten through to him. Jason created the exact situation he didn’t want and I get Carly is over the too and feels entitled to Jason but people seem to act like he didn’t play a part in that too and used it when it suited it him and shit on her when it didn’t. Jax was right on about how Jason treated Carly too.

This is why I don't want Jason and Carly back together romantically. She has no respect for what he wants for his life. And it annoys the crap out of me that when it comes to Jason, Carly never faces repercussions for her actions; he lets her get away with everything even when it ruins his relationships with other people. Carly has good moments but she's not a good person, never has been.
Conversely it’s also the thing he relies on most about her. She’s the one of the most resilient people on the show. No one will fight for him like she does - not even Sonny he’s too selfish. Plus they’ve both matured she hasn’t been like this for ages. it’s almost 20 years ago… Carly has def faced repercussions for her actions the woman has had a mental breakdown, lost kids, her son was shot, she was shot, almost lost her life multiple times and been to a psychiatric facility. I mean the list goes on. I always wonder if it’s because she doesn’t “pay” the way others want her to. Plus he’s humiliated her and put her in her place plenty (and I think he did it here too by telling the whole town and not her..) I just think it interesting that Jason is always seen as her victim and not as a dude that’s making choices about the place he wants her to have in his life. When it counts she’s the one that sticks around and comes through and that’s more valuable than anything else for him. She’s reaped what she’s sowed. Also don’t think she’s a bad person she’s just incredibly flawed and doesn’t apologize for that. For me it’s what makes her one of the most interesting tho admittedly annoying and frustrating at times too and of course selfish. She cares about her and hers and doesn’t lie about that. I do agree that she needed to grow up and mature for her and Jason to ever survive romantically. The Carly in 2021 when they got married was IMO the Carly that would have gone the distance with Jason. I think that’s why + Sonny being gone was the reason he finally let his guard down to let her in romantically again. Because one of the best parts of Carly/Jason relationship is when they talk to each other - they figure their own answers out to their problems. IF Jason had come clean with Carly - he would have had time to process all these decisions with a woman - a mother - his best friend - and she would have been able to get him to see - his plan wasn't going to work. Carly was right - even if it meant she had to accept Elizabeth (and she would have) Jason and Elizabeth should have raised Jake - out in the open - together - even if they broke up down the road - Jake would have known his father - he would have felt the love from Jason and Elizabeth.

Not to mention it’s Jason’s lies that set in motion a turn of events for him that had him distracted, not telling Carly about Michael wanting a gun, he losing her baby with Jax etc (in his actual job as Sonny and Carly’s protectors and enforcer not just as their friend ) and not acting in character and Carly is actually the only person who would have gotten through to him. Jason created the exact situation he didn’t want and I get Carly is over the too and feels entitled to Jason but people seem to act like he didn’t play a part in that too and used it when it suited it him and shit on her when it didn’t. Jax was right on about how Jason treated Carly too.

Say what you will about Carly, she owns her terrible choices and behavior. Good, bad and appalling she owns it. My issue w/Liz is, she hasn't learned. She still does shady, down right awful stuff and tries to justify it. It's never her fault, she didn't make a terrible choice, she didn't cheat on her husband (repeatedly) it "just happened" and then cries and whines when she gets caught or called out...

This is why I don't want Jason and Carly back together romantically. She has no respect for what he wants for his life. And it annoys the crap out of me that when it comes to Jason, Carly never faces repercussions for her actions; he lets her get away with everything even when it ruins his relationships with other people. Carly has good moments but she's not a good person, never has been.
Conversely it’s also the thing he relies on most about her. She’s the one of the most resilient people on the show. No one will fight for him like she does - not even Sonny he’s too selfish. Plus they’ve both matured she hasn’t been like this for ages. it’s almost 20 years ago…
Carly has def faced repercussions for her actions the woman has had a mental breakdown, lost kids, her son was shot, she was shot, almost lost her life multiple times and been to a psychiatric facility. I mean the list goes on. I always wonder if it’s because she doesn’t “pay” the way others want her to. Plus he’s humiliated her and put her in her place plenty (and I think he did it here too by telling the whole town and not her..) I just think it interesting that Jason is always seen as her victim and not as a dude that’s making choices about the place he wants her to have in his life. When it counts she’s the one that sticks around and comes through and that’s more valuable than anything else for him.

Also don’t think she’s a bad person she’s just incredibly flawed and doesn’t apologize for that. For me it’s what makes her one of the most interesting tho admittedly annoying and frustrating at times too and of course selfish. She cares about her and hers and doesn’t lie about that.
I do agree that she needed to grow up and mature for her and Jason to ever survive romantically. The Carly in 2021 when they got married was IMO the Carly that would have gone the distance with Jason. I think that’s why + Sonny being gone was the reason he finally let his guard down to let her in romantically again.
Besides he’d already chosen her over everyone else for so long what’s the point of putting him with anyone else lol And based on this clip it’s clear he knew he could have kicked her out of his life anytime and chose not to. People act like Jason was some dumb wallflower with no agency - he saw right through her and chose her anyway. Because her good qualities were worth all the antics and bs he had to put up with.
And btw I found her incredibly annoying here too. Hated how they wrote her. But On the other hand she wasn’t wrong about Liz and Jason never working out and she gave him good advice to help him see how much this would hurt Sam and how to handle it. Another issue is why she ran to Jason every time there was something wrong with Michael. Even when she was married to Sonny & then Jax. Bobbie is her mom & there are clinics. If he was sick or he is acting out. I need Jason to fix this. She is a grown woman with 2 children. Michael & Morgan. She can't take care of them. I bet she treated poor Leticia like a servant always shoving her kids at the nanny to take care of so she can run around town sticking her nose in everybody else's business. I don't even think she felt bad or grieved for Leticia when she was murdered in Carly's house by TMK. She probably had another nanny lined up so she could continue meddling in stuff that doesn't concern her.
