There are many reasons to get a matte box, just maybe not if you're a run and gun type film maker. A matte box allows you to use the same filters on any lens, rather than buying a set for each lens, or fiddling with screwing one large one onto step up rings which risks them binding. Also, many high end cine lenses won't accept screw on filters or they're +95mm. Sun shades, and reducing glare are other reasons. I ordered one of these to try out. I try not to use VND's... so I'm hoping their IRND's are useable. I'm not a snob about filters so long as they don't really mess up the image like your IR example.
Do you think the weight of the matte box plus the ND filter when screwed onto the lens (Sigma 24-70) can ruin the lens in the long run? I've been a fan of Freewell filters, and I'm currently using their magnetic variable ND. I'm wondering if upgrading to a matte box would be worth it.
Do you have a list of your gear or a breakdown video ? I currently use a Sony a7siii with a full Tilta cage and want to use a nitze stinger top handle with a nitze monitor mount can you recommend which models of those will fit suited to that Tilta cage ?
Great work!
Great video dude!
8 likes? Under rated video! Keep it up!

I would love to buy an IR magnetic filter and put it in the front, just like you did with the mist filter. Is it possible? Or there is some problem?
