    Definitely want a comparison. To avoid having to which would you pick?

    1) Does it have hard stops? 2) If it doesn't have stops, how do you know when you're past maximum ND (and creating ugly patterns)? Does it have any markings to show you how much ND you're at?

    • @theunkownmr.562
      @theunkownmr.562 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It doesnt have hard stops. The knob turns smoothly until you reach the end of the VND or polarizer.

    Man..been looking for a great matte box, but never decided wich one to choose. Now the choice is easy! Like the red touch also. Thanks for review

    • @RayValencia
      @RayValencia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks!! I didn't realize how much the red would match with everything, lol! They released another Lens adapter, which is just a Filter Clamp only. Even more low-profile than what I was showing. And at least 25+ filters for this matte box too. These are just the few I could get my hands on. Good investment you can build out over time.

      @@RayValencia Just got it! Im so happy, thanks for review Ray. Added the 58mm adapter for my Samyang 35mm 1.8f FE along with the Glow Mist Diffusion Filter 1/4, works perfecto for the Sony FX3. FreeWell is crazy, order/package took only 4 days from HK to Norway! So now we order more!! Go buy people!

    Amazing content Ray, thanks. What do you think about the Snow Mist? Is it more like a black mist? and can it match the ones by Tiffen or NiSi in your opinion?

    Can you adjust how high the gradual grey filter sits in the frame or is ot just in the middle by default? Does this clamp directly onto lenses with 95mm outer diameter?

    Anyone has used an M2 quickswap freewell filter on this system? How do they work?

  • @vasilisman78
    @vasilisman78 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Great video! At 1:36 you put CPL&VND 1-5 stop true color filter. Please tell me how do you adjust with one nob wheel CPL differently from VND or VND from CPL?

    • @RayValencia
      @RayValencia  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That is the hardest part. You have to rotate your ND, then take it off...rotate your CPL, then pop the ND back on (granted, hoping it is still in the right spot).

    • @fiesight

      So pretty much a headache? Not that simple to use

  • @Robfilmproduction
    @Robfilmproduction หลายเดือนก่อน

    so with the "Freewell V2 " I can adjust the CPL and the VND separately , and I can choose how much polarization I need with out affecting the VND, but can we do the same with the EIger ?

    • @theunkownmr.562
      @theunkownmr.562 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You have to do those two adjustments independently. Put your VND into the holder, set your VND, take it out, set your polarizer, then pop in your VND again.

  • @sundersquare

      @vasilisman78 no you can't. They adjust at the same time unless you adjust each one independently with the vnd removed.

      @RayValencia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I was on the fence about the PolarPro. How do you like it? I ended up ultimately deciding on the Tilta Mirage (mostly due to Price). Now this magnetic filter company comes along and throws their spin on it and here we are. I do want to add more magnetic filters though.

      Yes, the only issue I had is what I showed at the end of the video, but they seem to have swapped over to a metal connection instead of plastic. And changed the hardware from regular Phillips screws to Allen wrench. Happy they listened and fixed the issue I had.

    hey bro, i've been watching your videos, great content. just a small suggestion, keep the videos short and straight to the point, - people have short attention span nowadays and we don't like to hear too much talking. youre doing awesome.

      @RayValencia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Mark! Thanks. I have stupid amounts of hardrive space FULL of Tests and Scenes I film that never make it into the videos too! Sheesh, I need to calm down with it, Haha! I'll try to do better with cutting down, and being more concise!!! Afterall, I'm not Phillip Bloom, making motion picture style reviews, Lol!
      What do you think an ideal video length should be? Considering the amount of info I like to explain? 10mins? Or should I not cover so much? Simplify? Thanks so much for caring enough to offer me some help/advice. I don't get a lot of criticism, so I still have no idea what I'm doing.

      @@RayValencia na man, 10 minutes is too long, i would say 3 - 5 minutes. if you're doing a walkthrough I would do timelapse or just record the highlights. if you don't think 3-5 minutes is enough time, i would split it up between a few videos. i'm no expert man, i would just keep learning from other channels man. good job bro

    Nice review. Now I wonder which one to get :D. Second Tilta Mirage for my b-cam or this one. The main filter looks really familiar to Tilta's inserts. Are these compatible?
    Is there an option for side flags as well?

    • @RayValencia
      @RayValencia  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No side flag options and the filters are not cross compatible between Tilta and Freewell. It depends on how many filters you want to stack up. If you've seen my other Tilta Mirage videos, I show all the negatives with the Vignetting issues. The Freewell doesn't have that.

    • @RayValencia
      @RayValencia  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Nickporter17 they did make specific magnetic Eiger filters for this kit, like I showed, but I was under the impression that this works with the okder K2 filters too. Maybe I'm wrong on that! Especially, if you verified it with them. Unfortunately, I don't have any of them to test it out...sorry for the confusion.

      @@RayValencia no worries. It is weird. Nobody I could find has photography filters that work with their matte box. The new kase stuff also seems like it should.

    • @RayValencia
      @RayValencia  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Nickporter17 it is weird, Freewell actually contacted me to review this matte box before it was even finished being molded and mass-produced. I even collaborated on improvements of reinforcing the Front Flag hinge with metal components. Although, the info they sent me says it is compatible with 82mm threaded screw on filters (better if you remove the front hood), Including use of their previous magnetic filters, but you need a filter with an outer diameter of 92mm to for full lens coverage (this is the size of their new Eiger magnetic filters).
