if Elena or Kami are reading this, I personally apologize for all the comments about your play. you guys restarted the Stanford dynasty by yourselves and deserve all the hype and love in the world. don't listen to these people who sit behind a screen and talk about other people. coming from a division 1 men's volleyball player, the whole community looks up to you guys and you will be missed.
Did you not watch the match at all? Kami trap-set Rubin...Kevin didn't sub her out and she continued to hit into a block over and over. On top of that, "AGGRESSIVE SERVES" did not work as their strategy. If anything, they just need to keep the ball in and let the defense do the talking...OH wait, Morgan Hentz isn't on the team.
Coming from a div 1 mens volleyball player ? LoL, clearly you wern't very good if you watched that match and think they are expect from opinions about their play. I've been saying for years kami is on her way to the national team, so I expected more from her. A good setter doesnt need the perfect pass everytime to elevate her team; a good setter makes the team better. She literally took her opp out of the game, struggled to figure out the connection with arguable the best player on the team recently (sami francis), and her one dimensional distribution made it easy for the louisville block. I wouldn't expect more from them if I thought they were average players.
@@Mike-bv3bt Agreed! Kami is definitely struggling and not all well-put for this match. As a setter, you need to learn to work with what you have and be smart. She kept on making bad decisions.
I'm very upset that Sofia Maldonado Diaz did not make Louisville Regional All Tournament team. She was instrumental in our win against both Purdue and Stanford.
"Most Modest" is the title won by Stanford Volleyball 2024, as they had 5 players on the court in yoga pants for most of this match, and when they played Texas. And no, the Louisville court is not over the ice of a hockey rink. I think it speaks to overall fitness, as I've contrasted Stanford's kit choice to the attire to that of the ladies of Pitt Volleyball, and the US Women's National Volleyball Team, and find that neither wear yoga pants. But I'm pretty sure the Indonesian National Team does.
Terrible performance by stanford. Miner trap setting her middles and have a super one dimensional offense made me feel like they had no chance. Sure the passing was terrible, even from the libero, but as someone hailed as the best setter in the country, I was very disappointed. Her opp hitter barely got to play, to the poijnt I didn’t understand why they had her playing back row instead of a defensive specialist, since she literally doesnt get set from the back row. The coach was also disappointing. The momentum shifted from early in the second set when kurt started to make errors and tip tip tip. Her tips never scores or even get the other team out of system, so the fact he didnt bench her even for a little bit is questionable. Francis has been stellar for this team but the connection wasnt there at all with miner and that really affected her overall game. Rubin struggle as well but I like that she kept swinging. She needs to learn how to swipe off the block though. I started watching volleyball in 2016 when stanford had that legendary freshman group, so im a little spoiled as a stanford fan, but this was one of their most underwhelming performances. The entire team , including the coach was just flat.
The GOLDEN ERA of Morgan Hentz, Kathryn Plummer, and Jenna Gray cannot be topped. They are legendary and will stay peak legends. As for this team, they're trash. I was getting embarassed for them when Rubin decided it was a great idea to hit into the blocks not once, but a thousand times. On top of that, Kami Miner decided it was a great idea to keep trap-setting Rubin. And lets talk about Kevin's wonderful idea to "serve aggressively" as their team's tactic---That didn't turn out great. They need to keep the ball in and let the defense do the talking. OH WAIT!! Morgan Hentz wasn't on the team.
Ipar Kurt grew up as an under-18 player from the professional league in Turkey, Coach Hambly does not encourage Ipar Kurt to attack from 6 numbers,it is inappropriate for you to criticize him Stanford also Kami Miner made mistakes in pass distribution stanford was insufficient in making blocks, they are not fast enough and service errors were made too much...
@@NootsaraTomKomOfficial Idk, I liked that elia kept being aggressive, because the other outside really tipped so many balls and that cost them alot in transition. Elia needs to learn how to use the block, however. The entire team underperformed. The block coverage was one of the worst I have seen at that level. I don't think they were going to make it further than that with that level. The libero shocked me, she is very laid back which is cool when its easy but when its hard you need to be scrappy and hungry for the ball...she doesnt give that at all; she also struggled with passing!
@@Mike-bv3bt Yeah, Stanford's libero seems a bit slow and not all there. She's definitely not a Morgan Hentz flying all over the place or the Japanese's National Team Liberos.
Rubin lost the game for Stanford hands down. Sorry, but she kept on swinging like she not going to get blocked...and then she got blocked---AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN. I would have subbed her out immediately, but she was kept in there. This Stanford team isn't the GOLDEN DAYS of STANFORD with Morgan Hentz, Kathryn Plummer, and Jenna Gray. Sorry, but Stanford has gone down hill since Hentzville era. Go Louisville!
Unless Stanford is able to start taking advantage of the portal they will not be the powerhouse team of the future. Their travel schedule sucks! No top NIL money and many kids are paying their way at Stanford. All of these factors will make it very difficult to get top talent.
I mean she is used to swinging like that which works...but when the entire opposing team knows only the outside is getting set when at the front, it because a bit easy to get blocked

Was the most hyped Louisville crowd I think ever seen. Atmosphere was amazing. We taking home field advantage to another level
Sofia Maldonado the MVP of the match🇲🇽❤
She was the game changer!! Stanford never planned for her
Maldonado Díaz ate set 3 I was living for it!!
That kill at 5:19 by Sofia was one of the most important points of the game.
3:20 oh my goodness

desde mexico felicidades a sofia maldonado por este titulo ojala vengan mas...
Pittsburgh's opponent in the national semifinal will be Louisville as the 1st ranked Cardinals took down Stanford in 4 sets, 3-1.
Great match
The last set gets one minute?

Great effort Stanford after a looong season! Easy to criticize when Stanford loses. LV played well
I'm the none bot comment you looking for.
Parra and Ung's teams are eliminated, but we are still here following Sofia!

Is that Rubin that is the problem, or the setting continually setting her up for double blocks?
didn't appear they made any adjustments for the blocks- same thing over and over with the same result
