South Pare White eye Zosterops winifredae

Venturing deep into remote Tanzania, we explored the Chome Forest Reserve, focusing on the endemic subspecies of the South Pare Montane region. The highlight of our exploration was the South Pare White-eye, a species found in the heath vegetation along the edges of the montane forest at the highest elevations of the South Pare Mountains. This bird can be distinguished from similar broad-ringed white-eyes primarily by its restricted range.
