She rung off Bart, Nelson, Ralph, Rod, Todd, and into Maggie's suck in like 10 seconds. Believe me, there is real talent on what they do.

It’s because it’s transgressive on US network TV. Censors cause big problems if a network show doesn’t follow the rules. Talk show hosts are genuinely scared if guests swear, because they could get in trouble. Cable TV isn’t like that, and it’s interesting how it stops seeming so out of place when it happens all the time.

Considering the voices get re-recorded in other languages for many countries, it is not his voice that reaches everyone. In my case, whenever I see a video like this with the mexican guy who does Homer in spanish, I lose it!

LOL, you'd think that wouldn't ya? This is so much like the episode where Bart goes on Conan's show and tries to get philosophical, and they just want him to say the line.
I guarantee that episode came from when Nancy Cartwright; the voice of Bart, went on Loveline with Dr. Drew and Adam Carolla; radio version, likely between 1993 and 1997, and she wanted to talk about all these inane social issues and they just wanted her to do the voice. I remember it well.
I remember thinking, you're a voice for a cartoon. Nothing more. We don't give a flying fook what you think about the wombats of Bolivia.
There's a few that don't believe in doing it, like Julie Kavner (Marge). If she does it she covers her face.

It’s because it’s transgressive on US network TV. Censors cause big problems if a network show doesn’t follow the rules. Talk show hosts are genuinely scared if guests swear, because they could get in trouble. Cable TV isn’t like that, and it’s interesting how it stops seeming so out of place when it happens all the time.
